    So. They're screwed.

    Not addressing flags in the red or disappearing or doubling after a server merge.

    They need a voyage.

    A few doubloons or a couple hundred gold, they would be given a target. Either a ship or individual. (Ship naming would be handy...) And an image similar to OoS voyages. They'd be given the person's coordinates. Potentially could rush or sneak up on them. Now in all fairness, at some point, the target should be told they're a target. Maybe at mission start sp they could hide/prepare, or within proximity. The hunter has a radar maybe based on emissary/faction level

    Sink the targeted ship, voyage completes (even if you lucky shot them once and they MeganxKarenxSkelleon conference call in a storm sink) Kill the targeted person, voyage completes even if you die or the person's ship doesn't sink. If you're targeted as a ship you can scuttle and the hunter gets the same prize. Not sure how an individual could surrender or... y'know...and somehow complete the voyage. Let the Reaper have full value of the mission in case of a quit/surrender and perhaps give a small boost based on pursuit/aggression of target

    Ohhh so now I have a target on my head and scuttling or sinking nets the reaper a free win??? 🤔🤔 time to run away for an hour and rage quit! Muahaha! Cant get credit if my ship randomly disappears!

    What about instead of targeting a specific ship it spawns a reaper chest on the map and the voyage is based around getting it? Dig it up, grab one across the map etc? Maybe a new reaper chest that is specifically for the quests?

    Kinda against my particular play style but a good chase would give them more than a scuttle would.

    So like:
    Quit to menu/scuttle : RB gets full value (if it's a ship...)

    Run to the red, 1.25×

    PVE ambush, 1.25, if you're within a certain distance,
    1.5 if you fire/damage the target. 3× if you sink while either of you suffer pve interference.

    Different bonuses if you're a target, RBE or etc.

    You put a lot of thought into it!

    I like the multiplier bonus your adding to stuff. Nice that some sort of credit will be given regardless of how the other ship went down.

    I also like that your the only one to being light to the fact that they have no voyages!

    Maybe your going to help reapers get to a point where they arent uh...flag chasers lol

    If these rubbish reapers can't find ways to sink ships without causing crews to leave the game.. Its all on them.. Learn new tactics!!
    Try sneaking a chest of sorrows on board whilst they are at an island, or bucket it full of water to sink it quietly. Use your imaginations..

    Chasing people endlessly, you get what you deserve, nothing.

  • Most of the complainers are just chasing and chasing a ship endlessly to the point where the crew just leaves the game.
    Want that flag. Adapt and take it whilst the crew are unaware they are under attack and can't scuttle.
    Simple.

  • @needsmokes Yea I have no issue with crews running in to the red sea and de-spawning their ship/loot, but if they scuttle/leave the game and ship sinks where you can reach it (not in the red sea) then there should be no reason that their flag shouldn't drop, it just doesn't make sense to me.

  • Targetting other player ships isn't going to be very useful, because they could just log out before you get near them. Location information would be quickly outdated, unless it updates periodically but I don't think having a tracking marker on another ship that has no idea is very fair.

    If they ever did get a voyage of some type, it would likely be something similar to one of the other companies. Get something, deliver it. Maybe deliver X number of stolen loot, or something of that nature.

    No one can control bad sports who rage quit over a sinking. Maybe those people who quit over something so trivial like their video game boat sinking should learn how not to be enormous sore losers?

    Why do they need to learn new tactics just to sooth the targets ego?

  • @pithyrumble the only thing I'd change for RB is, that either only emissarys can see the reapers on theyr map, or reapers get theyr rank up by fighting non-emissarys as well...
    Why should they need a voyage? It's a PvP faction...what if it tells me to go for ship A and I want to go for ship B, because of reasons...
    The same as for voyages for HC, doesn't really make sense with the rng-based system SoT has...

  • @pithyrumble yeah, Rare really did not put much thought into the reapers faction. Personally when we want to work on reapers we fly the Athena emissary flag. People don't log out to join another server and are not as quick to run away. And sometimes it attracts our victims to us to try to take our flag.

  • I don’t feel like running away from reaper’s for my full play session. So maybe there can be a time limit, like the Merchant Alliance?

  • I quite like this, it's a sort of veriation on the bounty system that others have proposed except it's more of an on demand set up rather than an opportunistic one. For this to work I would suggest that the person must be a Reapers Emissary and remain one for the duration of the voyage. Players should probably only be targeted if they are Emissaries or have a one or more Pirate Legends on their crew and are fully crewed ships at the time of mission commencement. I'm also not so sure that individual pirates should be targeted rather than whole crews or ships meaning that the targeted ship should sink within range of the Reaper ship for the mission to be considered complete.

  • I think one is coming. There are notes at the hideout stating that there's a rough draft voyage or something with arrows pointing N,S,E,W and islands circled. It's the left when looking at the entrance to the hut.
