Hit registration getting really worst

    We are having massive hitreg issues also, on ladders, in water, and in regular fights, since one week I didn't killed a single guy in two bullets (at least 3 or 4) while i'm doing at least 5 games every evening. Hitreg in the water is broken, on the ladders there is a bug as well and regular combat is worst than it was ever. Hit registration is ignored, and should be the priority for rare now, it is destroying this nice game. We need answers and informations now it's getting frustrating. Is it a tick rate problem? Is it a hardware problem on servers? Is it just a position of player calculation issue in the code? Please rare, react and do something! We saw some hard issues with it since the last update and more this week!

  • Yea, sometimes you can shoot a guy 4 times with a Eye of Reach before they die and you get a hitreg every shot.
    People say that the hitreg is garbage (im one of them), some say it's a latency problem....some say it's a miss and so forth.

    Nobody knows and rare dosen't know either.

  • Usually this problem comes from a connection delay. You shoot where you see him on your screen, but due to delay from your connection to his connection, he will be slightly to one side. I'm pretty sure that's the reason you see it as a hit, and he doesn't loose hp

    So maybe it does have to be adjusted slightly, so that if you get hit reg on your side, he does loose hp, even if he wasn't in the shot on his side.

  • @mbserious For me that's directly bound to server tick rate, the server has a slow update per second on player position, and on each client you have a wrong version of telemetry. We need precisions about this issue, on every video game you'll find some hitreg problems but not like SOT. It's happening like 70% of the time.
