Hello pirates .
sea of thieves already offers a lot of things to do. A big problem is that free groups often play very badly together and the fun is bad. you could compensate for that with a buyable Npc's. seas of thieves is a lot of fun when you use the great radial menu to give commands how to set sails fix the ship fire the cannons. all of this with an nps crew would bring many players to sea of thieves because playing together is better. search and fight alone on the island with 4 npc´s treasures. i would do it that every new login into the game you have to buy new npc's and learn the skills and get faster and better.
Player and NPC Crew !!!!
@dergodspeed same as you previous thread...that's not how equality works...an "old" pirate with millions of gold buys crewmates...a new player can't, because he has no money yet

@dergodspeed this is not the whole way a player who is new is attacked by a group of friends who know each other he has no chance because the others know the game together in the game. npc players would make up for that
@dergodspeed guess how we "old" pirates learned the game...at the beginning there wasn't ANY pop ups, which told you what to do
There was no maiden voyage
The game told you nothing, had to learn all by ourselfesA new player today gets tons of information how to play...
I will only EVER agree with an NPC Crewmate IF and ONLY IF they count as a player slot... NOT as a separate thing. For example, if I'm solo slooping, I wouldn't mind having a NPC crewmate to fill my missing player slot but the moment a friend joins him, that NPC dies/disappears because there is no empty slots for it anymore...
And even then, not needed and having an NPC can cause some issues... So, really a no by the end of the day.
