drum roll... "the N-WORD" :D

  • I encounter a number of people who occassional drop the famous n-word over mic.
    ( Is it a kink or something? ) HA'H.

Is that allowed? Not that I would report people for that. Especially not the ever so salty saltshakers on the ferry. Their rage gives me life.
Still I wonder if that is a forbidden thing?

Have reasons to believe in a caribbean setting it may be slightly "immersive" LOL.
If you read that, random Reapers-player who ambushed me in the piratlords hideout, yes I am talking about YOU. ;)
Also do not sword-charge me when I have my blunderbus out.
You have seen how that ends. ^^

  • @odyssee-mit-tee Ahoy matey!

That is definitely not allowed, and that kind of behaviour and language is something Rare takes very seriously. You should always report this kind of behaviour and give as much data as you can, maybe screen recordings or captures if you can.

We take our Community Code of Conduct seriously. We will take action on accounts that we determine to have breached our Code of Conduct or the Microsoft T&Cs. Account actions can range from warnings and suspensions to permanent account termination from our game and services at our discretion, where doing so would be in the best interests of Rare or our customers.
If you believe that someone has broken our Code of Conduct or the Microsoft T&Cs, please read the article at the link below and create a support ticket. This will be reviewed and the appropriate action taken by our support team.

    How to Report a Player

  • @odyssee-mit-tee i play as a black female pirate and i have run into this a handful of times. it is quite jarring but idk just kill them and move on what can you do there are fools a plenty in the world.

i had one kid on my crew chasing me around with the fishing rod 'whipping me' calling me slave haha. ah kids. they say the darndest things

  • Hmh, good to know. Thanks for the answers.

Well in my case I think those people are just kinda... overburdened in some wierd way.
On the ferry one really angrily growled the n-word at me, which made me snort actually. ^^
And the Reapers-guy in the piratlords hideout sounded so "happy" it was almost as if he wished me a good day. ^^

But those people are foolish after all.
As I thought it's not even allowed.
Hm'h~ if I see it used in mentally unhealthy proportions I will report them for sure.

But not someone currently losing himself in rage. ^^
Had some nice people too who calmed down after a bit and apologized for their swearing.
    Handing them a captains-chest helps. :D

  • @odyssee-mit-tee

If it doesn't bother you then why care about whether its allowed or not?? This almost seems like a bait post somehow. It might not be and you might genuinely be curious, but why does it matter??

If you would never report for it, why care if its re-portable?? Words are words.

  • @xultanis-dragon i think he is just more asking if other ppl notice ppl saying this often and wonders why ppl do it. seems weird to him so i think he is just putting it out there even though not personally hurt by it.

i like that and think its a good state of mind to be curious and not upset. we can't let things like this get us down. its just a word and if anything it shows us the speakers true self faster so in a way i find it helpful so i can find out who the idiots are quickly haha.
