"Emissary quest already claimed"

Nvm, my crew and I killed ourselves to test and when we spawned back up, we had a new map showing.

EDIT: now we finished the last quest we got and the same thing is happening, killing ourselves doesn't change anything this time, we don't have any kind of quests and the option to claim another emissary quest just doesn't show up !

So is what your saying is that at lvl 5 you got a guilded type quest, completed it, killed your self and got another immediately?
Have I correctly understood this?

Is this a bug? I’m not entirely sure how these quests are meant to work.

EDIT: I submitted a bug report.
I'm trying to rejoin my session but now the servers won't let me log in, maybe it's the cause.

When I reached Lvl5 I seemed to get a few maps added to my radial without me doing anything to prompt it.

You get the emissary quest by going to the appropriate seller and you'll have the option to claim the quest.

It's not a voyage, it's a quest like the bottles quests, so nothing to put on the table.

So we were doing a gold hauder voyage. It didn’t take long to get to lvl 5, maybe an hour or so. We sunk a few reapers ships though and the voyage had loads of chests to dig up.

The reason I thought it was a guilded quest type thing was because what I thought was chapter 2 and could have been tbh, had 4 very small islands on it very close to each other with 6 chests on each, all of the chests were captains chests. I remember seeing the maps on the radial with a symbol beside them that wasn’t a bottle or envelope. I also commented to my crew that it seemed like a guilded voyage due to the loot. Maybe it was just a very lucky chapter 2

You pick up the gilded voyage by going to the relevent person, OoS lady/Merchant/Hoarder/Mysterious Stranger.

There'll be a prompt.

Then new maps appear on your wheel. For Athenas it's 3 islands. After you finish them another voyage appears on your wheel for part 2.

It's a little confusing, because for me at least the second part shows as a message in the bottle, so if you've picked up some of them already it can be difficult to tell which one is the gilded.

There's also no pop up to say Chapter 2 or anything.

I'd like if the icons made it a bit clearer which map is which and if we got proper pop ups to let us know when the next chapter starts.

We were only sure when we dug up Athenas loot on the message in a bottle map that we thought might be the next stage.

Edit: you only get one gilded per server. If you want another you need to hop and get to grade 5 again. I dunno if losing your ship and going to grade 5 on the same server gives you another. You'd probably be better off cashing in your emissary and then starting again tbh. Cashing in the emissary gives you a huge chunk of rep plus 15,000 gold

Yes we cashed in the level 5 and got the 15k. I think someone in my crew may have picked it up and it just showed as not a message in a bottle. It didn’t say chapter 2 and there were 3 islands all with Captains chests on. I feel like this was it.

So again to be clear. If you cash on the flag and start again on the same server are you telling me you don’t get the bonus maps a second time if you get to lvl5 again?

Are we sure about that ? Are we sure it's supposed to work that way ? I saw a video here where they say it's "repeatable" and that "as long as you don't sink, you can keep doing those high-reward voyages".
So what should we expect ?

@papy-pitch Not sure no. I'll need to do some investigating.

It would make sense for it to be repeatable. The gilded voyage wasn't really all that amazing, just a couple of ancient items, 2x kegs, 1x Villianous and an Athenas chest. Was worth a fair bit thanks to Grade 5, so I'm not complaining, but it's hardly FOTD loot, and Grade 5 Athenas plus a gilded voyage takes longer than doing that from scratch.

At grade 5 an Athenas chest is worth over 15k though, so that was nice.

I'll check this evening to see if you can do a second gilded once you've finished the first, but I don't think we had a prompt for one when we were turning stuff in.

You could certainly cash in your emissary and start again though. Grade 5 doesn't take too long to achieve.
