Rare I think a good idea for sea of thieves are private servers. You would only make 75% of profit and 75% of rep. This would help so much especially when people just wait for you to do the FOTD and then kill you and steal the loot.
Private Servers
@two-stubz-guy This will never be a thing. The game was designed to be played with other players, not to be in a server alone. We all lose sometimes, pick yourself back up and learn from the mistakes you made. I have played this game from day 1 and I still lose sometimes, it is all apart of the Sea of Thieves experience! :)
@two-stubz-guy euhm, so you are surprised you got attacked at an event that announces it’s activation accross the whole server with a unique giant skull in the sky?
Anyway:
Be a good sport. Sea of Thieves is a pirate game, and stealth, stealing and battles are all part of the fun. All pirates on the seas accept that, but be a good sportsman in both victory and loss.

Private servers are coming however, these just are mostly useless for most people, why ? Because there will be completely no progression as these servers will be meant for people and communities that set up events like but not limited to:
- Race of Legends
- Sea of Champions
- The Cursed Captain
I would like a private server where can sail around , run into ship wrecks, do skelly ship fights or find a chest here and there on random islands. I think that would be ok as long as rep is not gained from what you turn in, do not really care if people get some gold, maybe half the amount. Im just suggesting that because I do think something needs to be on the server. I do not think any faction work , adventures or forts should be able to be done in them.

At least they were being pirates. I had a bad apple encounter earlier today when trying to activate FOTD for the first time on my own (I've cleared the FOTD before but it has always been someone else's FOTD, not one I've activated).
Essentially, they were just waiting at the FOTD for someone to try to activate and then just sink them... Like, just sink them. Not allow them to activate it or activate it with their resources. No, just stop the activation completion and ye'h... I don't count that as being a pirate. That's just being a terrible person because you just literally delayed a FOTD for that whole server AND for your own crew... I don't get why anyone would do that unless they just want to make someone angry.
