With this new update introducing grapeshot I think it would be a good to compliment the grapeshot with bow and stern chasers cannons so that ship chases would have an added element of peril especially with the escaping ship having a better opportunity to damage the pursuing ship or even slow them by damaging the rigging and so the chased ship could escape. Equally a slower ship pursing a faster ship could slow them down or damage them enough they sink. However I think bow and stern chasers should do less damage than normal cannons as to reduce the potential difference in crew sizes.

@killerrabbit-8u You mean... it will remove chases from the game entirely? "Added element of peril" not so much, if you have a cannon at the bow and stern, you can literally just insta-bust their masts with chain-shots, ending the chase completely.
