Because rare do want to care about the pve world so I just kick everyone out of the lobby just to have it lobby to myself. I going to keep find glitch to get a solo lobby. Because i it fun and I don't have to deal with other players
Find a a glitch to get a solo lobby
@Schwammlgott It's just someone on an alt for the purpose of causing problems. If you ask me, don't give him any sort of attention on bait threads like this.
If you like sailing and collecting booty without players and just NPCs may i suggest atlas?
Instead of playing a game that occasionally is the game you want, you might as well play an actual game that has the gameplay you offer. They even have npc crews so you can build and sail galleons and whatever else you can build up.
SOT will always be a PVEVP game.
If PVP bugs you, play singleplayer on Atlas.I play both. They’re both good games.
I prefer SOT tho because there is a thrill escaping persuing ships that are piloted by real players.@schwammlgott Knowing that half the people i murder at sea are probably people making pointless forum posts about PVE, it really brings me sweet joy 😂

@heavyreaper102 yeah...just realized this is the same guy who asked for pve server in the thread which is near this one
That thread consists of 7 out of his 11 total posts. His account is two days old.
As I just said in his other thread, some people need a hobby instead of crying and trying to work around their forums ban. lol@musicmee said in Find a a glitch to get a solo lobby:
Arena with one crew/player... doesn't sound fun?!?!
It's clearly someone's alt for the purpose of baiting/trolling. Idk if something can be done on that basis, but I'd hope so?
@realcowboy93 Bruh, just give up man seriously. Enough about your salty posts man. Stop posting new threads on your nonsense...
You've been offered MULTIPLE ADVICE by people including myself
No wonder why people are sinking you lol
Jeez, I hope to see you sailing in my server
@schwammlgott Technically this is not true. While it is true that you will be attempted to be merged if you are solo on a server, there are two criteria for a merger to occur (unless this has changed).
Criteria #1: All players must be on their ship.
- If all players are not on their ship, a merger will not occur, no matter how long you stay as the only ship in the server.
Criteria #2: Your ship’s anchor must be down.
- If your anchor is not dropped, you will not be merged, even if all players are on your ship.
The second Criteria is incredibly easy to avoid, making it possible for many players, especially those that practice raising the sails instead of anchoring, to unknowingly avoid being merged in an almost empty server.
@exeternautical Unfortunately, keeping the anchor up does not prevent a merge and hasn't for quite some time now. I believe dropping the anchor still triggers the server to check if a merge is needed, but they added who knows how many other triggers as well.
The only sure way now is to make sure that at least one of your crew is not on the ship at all times, which is manageable. Not so much for a solo-slooper, unless they run a dummy account separately and leave them stranded safely somewherewhile avoiding the Sleepy/Lazy Beards.
@realcowboy93 exploiting the game like that will only lead to one thing, you receiving a perma ban.
Alse (re)creating multiple threads with the same basic idea is against forum rules.
@Deckhands if you please ?
@cotu42 said in Find a a glitch to get a solo lobby:
@exeternautical negative to both your criteria.
I have been merged while in the water hauling back loot and I don't anchor... unless I am doing 180 turns but that is when I am being chased usually.
Sorry to break your bubble, but those changed a long time ago.
Where were you in relation to your boat out of curiosity?
I have only ever had it happen while all were on the boat, or in the process of jumping off the boat but not yet making contact with land/water.
From my experience thus far, it seemed to be that the entire crew had to be planted on the ship and some sort of merge flag set on the server. The merge flag was set based on some checks when a specific trigger is fired off; such as dropping the anchor, entering/leaving bounds of an island, or crew state change.
@archangel-timmy I was fairly close, just off the beach with a chest in my hands. Like 3 times the length of my character away from the ladder. Maybe a little closer.
@cotu42 Thank you!
Curious if there is another trigger hidden in there based on proximity and/or something else close to what you were doing.
We have never had it happen with players swimming to our boat, only when they climb up and the animation ends for them landing on deck.
@archangel-timmy to be honest I think the servers now also check when a crew leaves the server whether to look for more to add or to merge or just an intermittent check that was added to the mix.
They have been trying to avoid the issue where people weren't being transferred even though the server was empty and why they added additions to the check rather than just anchor down?
After that it just requires to locate the ship, crew and their assets (treasure and rowboat) to lock their locations and find a server where those locations are not occupied. There're most likely some limitations that apply here to make it easier to process and they have been expanding them for sure.

Mate dealing with other players is a core mechanic of the game. You need to stop clogging the forums with topics like this, there are thousands already!
