When battling the skeleton ships and defeating it. The kraken spawns before the loot from skeleton ships has even spawned. If there could be a spawn delay or no chance of the kraken spawning in the same location of the Skelton ships battle. Would fix the problem. This is not a Rare occurence.

@dalo-drake Seems like either the kraken keeps choosing your ship when the ship fleet event is done, or it can only choose your ship if you are on a dead server.
Krakens dont specifically spawn on locations of ship battles, they specifically spawn on YOUR location.Nothing to fix there, kraken in order to spawn need some conditions.
There must have no active raid, either a fleet orange cloud or a Fort orange cloud.
Just then the kraken will chose one crew in open water and attack it.
Remeber aswell that the fight with kraken will scale based on the type of ship: sloop simple, brig intermediate and galleon the hardest and longest fight@dalo-drake "Pro" tip. The kraken only spawns in open water, between cloud events. Notice that the ship battles take place close to large rocks, if you're close to those rocks the kraken cannot spawn. Sometimes it cannot be helped, depending on where the captain ship went down, but if you can position yourself near those rocks then you'll be golden until the next cloud spawns.

Its happened to me too but not too often.
The whole encounter is basically random.
Bunch of scripts running in the background waiting for conditions to be set and you are literally just in the wrong place wrong time.Simply delaying them might be possible but also tricky as you would likely need a script to kind of connect all these other independently running scripts. It could also mean interactions could become more rare. It would also prevent any entities spawning at the same time.
It would water down the emergent gameplay somewhat, im not sure i would be happy about that. Frustration sure the odd time it happens, but to mean no more possibility of two entities spawning, im not so sure.

Krakens spawn on your location, if your ship is the one chosen among all the ship son the server... And they only spawn when there are no server events active, as in no skeleton fort clouds or skeleton ship clouds.
