Please dont shrug off this post, its kinda a big deal!
We have 7 Skeleton Lords. And we have 3 Skeleton Lord Abilities. Does that seem right? I have a list of moves, and I want you guys to build on it with me. There's just too many possibilities. We need to speak up if we want something to get done. Feel free to leave suggestions for Skeleton Lords and their abilities! I created a similar post in the Discussions category to raise awareness and get some people's opinions. Build on the idea with me and help get Rare's attention on this! Skeleton Lords are supposed to be unique in their own ways, driven by their own anger and desires. But with 7 lords but all have the same 3 abilities, they feel really bland and predictable. Change this!
Some move ideas:
Have some kind of earthy-crystally Skeleton Lord (similar to the way Captain Douglas' Skull looks) Slam the ground and make cracks on the ground in different formations. after 3 seconds, rock or crystal spikes shoot out of the cracks, damaging you if you stand on the cracks.
Graymarrow deals in curses, why not make him use curses on you? Make him temporarily banish players, turning their screen foggy, preventing them from interacting with anything, and making them look ghostly to other players!
A Skeleton Lord that chucks firebombs, breathes fire, and has fire-bullets in his gun! You can only damage him if you splash water on him, otherwise he's got a heart full of fire! (I have a certain Skeleton Lord in mind for this one)
Helmsman has a freakin' harpoon hand! LET HIM USE IT!!!!!! Give him voice lines so he can say "Get over here!"
The Ghost of Graymarrow should be the only one who can Teleport.
Two Faced Scoundrel has two faces... make him take his heads off and throw them on the ground, and have his body fall on its knees, vulnerable, while his heads jump around you and bite you!
Make a Skeleton Lord with a cannon stuck in her chest, that she will light the fuse and fire at you, instantly killing you if it hits. The way you counter this is by making us fight her in an arena with things to hide behind!
Give us Traps on the Forts similar to the Art of the Trickster, and let the Skeleton Lords run around and use them, or add a new type of Skelly, the Trapmaster Skeleton. Only spawning on forts, it's a very organized skeleton, with their toolbelt, they run around activating any Traps that they can get their hands on! Even the ones that kill them too!
The Duchess should be able to back off and disappear until you kill all her minions, she's too high society to be fighting dirty pirates like you!
The Gold Hoarder should be able to pour liquid gold on himself and when it hardens, you have to shoot through his solid armor. While his armor is on, he is slower.
Briggsy should be able to summon ghostly cages in the air that she could try and drop on top of you, if you get caught, you'll be stuck there for a few seconds!
A Skeleton Lord that I've dubbed "The Ringmaster", who is dressed like a Jester. You fight him in a circular arena, where he stands on an elevated pedestal in the center. He fires at you from up there, while he controls what activity is in the ring. He could drop in skeletons for you to fight, he could drop the floor out and make you swim away from skeletal sharks while you try to drain the water, He could make certain parts of the arena burn, limiting where you could stand.
A Skeleton Lord that I've dubbed "The Lightning Rod", him and his minions are silvery-metal skeletons, dressed in tribal rags and feathers, with tribal paint all over them. He has two skeletons behind him which have instruments, and when they play their instruments, he starts doing a rain dance to make lightning strike him, and the electrical current jumps between his minions, sometimes staying there, making walls of electricity between two skeletons wherever they move. You can prevent him from doing his dance by beating up the two skeletons who play the music for his dance!
The Warsmith was way back in the Cursed Sails, bringing the Cursed Cannonballs and Skeleton Ships into the fray. We sent her and her Sandman's Revenge to the bottom of the sea, but her sister says she was still kicking. Back then, Skeleton Lords didn't have abilities, but if the Sandman's Revenge comes back for revenge, maybe let her use her Cursed Cannonballs on you a bit more personally? Let her smash them on the ground and apply the effects to players and skeletons nearby her!
It's terrible that with our current 7 Skeleton Lords, they ALL have the same abilities. I want to change that. People who see this as an issue need to speak up. I don't think Rare realizes that we're disappointed.
