Gift Giving

@edzedd You have to still be logged in and on the same server. A server merge can mess this up.

@entspeak That may be true, but I personally don't see it working if you aren't playing. Unfortunately I'm unable to test it since I've finished my gift commendations.

This is a really good question I wish rare made clear in the first place. I'm left wondering if I have to personally hand someone the gift, if I pick up someone else's gift and give it away to another player does that make it mine? Can I leave them and go offline since I usually have a ton of gifts at the end of a session or does it really expect me to sit around on the island and wait?

There's a lot of unexplained details. I'd have probably done the gift giving commendation if it was explained - but it wasn't so I killed everyone and took gifts to sell for doubloons instead.

@zappychan picing up a few voyages worth of gifts first thing and leaving them worked for me. It only takes 45 minutes or so, and you can spend a few hours sailing after that. If you run across other ships during that time, you can tell them that the free gifts are there. It really went fast on the double doubloon days though.
