Tucking "inside" the hull legitimate?

  • Is being able to tuck so that you glitch inside the hull and solid objects really intended gameplay?
Seems very exploity, as with the new tuck emote people can literally make themselves invisible.

I mean its one thing to hide and take advantage of being unobservant, but quite another to glitch the game so it is literally impossible for people to find you even when being actively searched for.

  • Definitely not, and definitely jank that needs to be worked out

  • Yeah... that’s not kosher in my book. Sneak plays are fine and all but if you’re literally not visible then it’s no longer impressive.

Losing your treasure to sneak plays should happen because the crew wasn’t paying attention not because they didn’t slash every square inch of their ship as a precaution each time they left an island.

  • A tip... use your cutless on those tuck spots I've never been done in by someone tucking to this day..... or maybe im just lucky!

  • Yup, I’m with the rest here. This is jank that needs unjanking.

  • I know on most other games I have played and/or followed, getting inside the environment was/is against the rules. I can understand part of the body being glitched in a bit, even though I wish more developers would work on preventing this more.

  • Any foto video or known places they do this? I regularly patrol our boats for trolls but sometimes we cant see them but they float when we scuttle so i guess some can do this...

  • Small tip for damage control..

Tuckers on athena voyage waiting for you to dig up athena chest.
As soon as you get the map for the last island we scuttle to expose any tuckers and we get a clean boat on a clean island while they dont know where we are or where our last island is.
They never steal our athena this way and only wasted hours tucking. And we caught some burglars this way so i think its worth it.

  • Another method I have yet to try but thought of is actually setting the ship on fire with fire bombs, since the ship is slow at taking damage from fire, but in theory should damage any tuckers and flush them out?
