I think you should be able to buy more then one level a month with doubloons. A lot of people do not know of the limit and grind doubloons for levels. I think it is as hard to get doubloons as it is to get levels.

Its isn't, the ratio of chests/items turned in to gain a level exponentially gets bigger the higher level you are. Two Reapers chest get you a free level, that is two chests that can be found quite easily, usually uncontested as well. Original Pirate Legends didn't have this luxury of a game overflowing with doubloons, some didn't even have the option to purchase levels either. Welcome to the club that actually needs to put some effort into getting PL.

You got to be kidding me... leveling as easy as doubloons. How far off the mark can you be. Please tell me you are joking, cause this post made me laugh.
As someone that hit legend a long time ago... you have no idea what the grind by voyaging means if this is your perspective. It might be true for the first what 20 maybe 30 levels, just wait till you hit 40 and realize that you're just half way there.
It has already has become way easier to hit legend and Athena 10, is it still not fast enough for you?
