Favourite ways to make gold(?)

Me favorit is not so much the most profitable.. i really like island hopping in combination with legendary ashen chest voyage at the moment..
I stop every island on the way for free loot and storage crates on the beaches.
Stop every shipwreck and floating barrels for fish and loot.
Sink all skelllie boats on the way..
Keep repeating the chest voyages but only do the tiny islands quikly and cancel big islands.

Just hopping from island to island i love it 🤓

I read here that theres a guy who gets a storage crate and sails to hidden spring keep.

Catches tons of pondies and catches them quick cause its so small the pond.

Makes the crate into a bait box, filling it to brim with fish.
Cooks and sells the lot.

Personally that would bore me so i prefer to hunt skeleton galleons solo on my sloop.

You're not wrong. Fishing can make big bank with a little set up.

Pondies are probably the fastest to catch, they don't sell for much, but when you can catch 50 - 60 solo in an hour or so it adds up.

Best way to earn as a fisherman is to get a Galleon together, collect some storage crates (at least 2). Go to Mermaids Hideaway and have 2 people fish for Pondies and 2 for Ancient Scales. Switch around when people get bored and have one or two do the cooking when they're sick of fishing. Keep some bait for stormfish too, incase the storm rolls past.

Fill up the crates to capacity, cook all the fish. Should net you around 200,000+ for a 3 - 4 hour session.

I made nearly 800,000 doing this over two days during the Gold and Ghouls weekend. It was like 400,000 each day or something disgusting like that.

Cargo runs in the Devil's Roar. I would do two at a time. Typically it would take 10-15 minutes for a double runs. Depending on your level, you're looking at 15-20k per double run. Just be wary of the volcanoes ;)

Purchase multiple Cargo Run missions at Morrow's Peak. Place a mission down. Odds are you'll be picking up the first load at Morrow's Peak. After you pick it up, put another Cargo Run mission down. Deliver/pick up. Repeat. I always put the bottles in the crows nest, the plants down below with a few buckets of water to make it easy to nourish them, and the silks on the shelf by the map table. I had two piles at each station to avoid confusion: delivery location A, and delivery location B.

If you were to do it and assuming the rest of the players didn't just leave, you would make whatever gold the other players made for you. Of course you would have to touch your stick once in a while so you don't get booted.

I would still go with my fishing option. Honestly it's more fun and more viable. Since cooking will be slow, I don't think quick fishing is needed. Better fish is good and with three people fishing you'll all make a lot of money. Sometimes we have done it for a while right next to the seapost.

LOL Are you trying to take credit for someone else's fishing advice? I think you need the bananas... Anyway, it doesn't sound like sitting in the brig is the least viable way to make gold.

The anger you cause them, gets directed at the skeletons at the fort as you safetly sleep in the brigg knowing you job is done 😂

In all fairness Joe wasnt being serious about the setting the captain on fire. Hes just guilty of having a decent sense of humour.

cooking and fishing are good methods though.

To be honest, just playing in crews nets you decent rates if u find a one actively seeking riches.

Think it's kinda risk vs reward.
You can get a lot by doing forts og skelly ship in the sky (Or FOTD)
but all comes with risk that other comes to try steal it.
all can be done solo, but do not recommend doing FOTD

But think that shipwreck, an just go from island to island, while doing cargo runs in Devils roar pay out a lot with minimum risk.

Im really lucky with alliance, an will always try to make alliance in the beginning of my journey, especially if you have the cannon balls as a solo sloop, then I find people more trusting.
an just let other people take the loot at a fort, an get the 50%

I did the FOTD x4 with a galleon, where I just stayed an fight while they went of selling, had done over ½ of the fort by the time they came back.
An then just repeat.

Well the most effective way to get gold quickly would be to find some other chump with items and steal em.

But imo the best way of getting gold quickly right now is FoTD. Its high risk though, if you're looking for voyages that pay well you can cherry pick gold hoarder maps, but since you're new that might not be your best bet.
