The other day I encountered a player who was able to take the reapers mark chests from the FOTD and hide the icon from the map while he put it on a rowboat. His remark was the mark gets hidden from the map after floating for 5 minutes and then sitting on the SEA floor for 5 minutes.
There is no way he had 10 minutes of time loading the chests up lol.
Question is , is this a glitch or mechanics in game. Seemed a bit fishy to me ...
How could there be no way he had that time? Hardly anyone's ever chasing anyone for them these days anytime I pick one up.
FotD maybe, but the reapers? Alot of people don't really care anymore and if fort was finished and people weren't paying attention to it being completed they aren't going to head straight for a reapers chest on map before disappearing.

I dont know anyone who goes for reapers chests anymore. People have way too many doubloons now. Its like Athena 10's who bought everything already and have millions of gold.
They don't spend time trying to get the loot after a skeleton ship kill or meg kill. If its worth getting sure but reapers chests? Sail for however long to get something you already have so much of?
