I've played for awhile now and seeing that the brig is pretty much useless on a sloop, why not put a bed there instead so solo players can have a place to lay and relax?
sloop cage or bed?
It’s always bothered me that the sloop doesn’t have a “Captains quarters”. I think they should slide some things around and throw in a bed on the floor.
The brigantine has a cool looking captain nook. The galleon has a great captains cabin.
A great idea can come from this suggestion and that’s interior ship customization!!!
@jgkilla100. I think it should be a cage but Sea of thieve's development team should try to come up with a way to lock our loot inside the cage and we keep the key in our inventory. At that point the other players would have to sink your boat or take the key from you. My 2 cent's Chargedstraw7

You can already do this on the brigantine and the galleon - simply place your loot next to the brig, lock up a crewmate, and have them pick up the loot and drop it inside the bars. It will be irretrievable until you, or someone else, sinks your ship. Oh, and don't forget to release your crewmate. 😅
I think the only reason the brig still exists on a sloop is that they want to keep all important features of the ships in place in case they decide to utilise them for something else. They likely don't want to remove it in case they come up with something involving it and have to figure out how to put it back in.

@nabberwar There already is one? and its not useless on a brig.
I think he means put a bed inside the brig cage, not a Brigantine.
