    You just released the fact that you aren't going to give us the FOTD completion accommodations. I did it 8 times and got credit for doing it once.

    Your not going to give me my credit? Are you kidding. Do you want me to start over. That is not how your going to grow your game.

    This is so annoying. I’m not upset that you made a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes. But you aren't going to fix it and give me my progress back. You should of told us that the accommodation wouldn’t count BEFORE we all did it.

    You should own up to your mistake and give us out progress or give us some sort of gift that shows how sorry you are like in game currency or cosmetics.

    I do t care what it is but simply ignoring a problem like this is probably why servers are dead.

    Do you see the problem now? They can't retroactively award players based on data that they do not have.

    @jetorchidee97 I've actually only done it 2-3 times as time permits, but that just further proves my point that people saying how many times they've done it can be complete hogwash and there is no way to accurately reward anyone with the proper amounts :)

    Has OP done it 8 times? Your guess is as good as mine.

    @justincase2004 anytime there has been a commendation error or change in this game it hasn't been retroactive. Why does it surprise you this time?

    I don't understand why people are this upset. The FOTD is a permanent feature being added, and none of the commendations that are time limited are linked to completing the actual fort. You have now and until Rare stops servicing the game to complete them. I too have completed without stuff counting, but you don't see me raging. This is a game, and you are getting upset over it. If a game was making me this upset, I might just find a different game, certainly isn't worth the strain on the mental health. Hell, at the very least maybe take a break from it. Do yourself a service and look out for the ole mental health.

    I had issues buying ancient coins as has been well documented here on these forums, and now every time I try, it's telling me that I already own them! Really, Rare!? How do you get repeat business with crud like that? I'm already talking to support, but they're so slow that I worry that I might miss my chance to get the new emotes and ship set.

    I feel like their is a huge difference in taking someones real world money and not giving them the thing they purchase. That is actually something that can have real world consequences, but this? This is a non-real money issue tied to a number tick on a commendation that someone could take a games life time to finish. It has no basis in real world laws and consequences.

    I see no comparison here.

    there are commendations for sailing 1000 miles with each of the OG trading companies. These commendations accidentally got disabled during a very early patch, and as a result, nearly everyone who was around back then will have to sail extra miles to get the credit (and there is an achievement for those as well, so Xbox was tracking them).
    I was big into the merchant quests at launch, and as a result I sailed around 340 merchant miles that were tracked by Xbox, but not the game. Sometimes shtuff happens, especially when coding a video game.
    Does it suck? Yeah. Did I demand recompense? Nope. Why? Because I feel like Rare would've corrected this if they could've. I feel the same about the FOTD. I don't think they're making a conscious decision to screw players out of their progress, I think there's nothing they can really do, and I accept that sometimes things like this do happen. If the FOTD (or the relevant commendation for completion) was time limited, that would change my opinion a bit, but it isn't

    To date I'm missing credit for three FOTD's and have been given credit for two. Will I quit fighting for them? He'll no! It's the best PVP going right now ( Blows Arena away)! We chased a three ship alliance to Daggers 2 days ago and sunk the Treasure ship (A sloop) but couldn't retrieve it because the galleon and the other sloop were hammering us and trying to board! It was total chaos (8 vs 3) but so much fun.
    They'll get the commendations ironed out eventually. Until then have fun!
    On a side note I love that they've done away with the "anchor drop" merge. It helps to slow down those players trying to circumvent the system!😎

    Mm. And Walmart should give me my money for trying to return a game, with no receipt. And when none of the employees remember or saw me the day I said I purchased it.
    Do you have the proof you did the fort 8 times? Show that, and then you can puff out your chest and demand compensation.

    And now the very same people that said this, are also saying "Well what did you expect? They can't just give it to you retroactively..." rofl.

    Guess the OP shouldn't have relaxed. 8D

    It does suck that the people who are missing the commendations are gonna have to get them again, but demanding compensation without proof just amuses me. lol.
    also, update. I'm getting 76 this Friday (thanks Bethesda sale!), and I'm excited to see if the game has really gone P2W like the rumors state. I'm hoping it'll be the cesspool I wanted from SOT but could never have...

    I wouldn't be surprised if this thread gets locked down due to ppl making the OP offended and derail the subject.

    I haven't even done the fort yet but when I do I'll be sure to record it and if it dont count progression I'll post it on the forums so Rare's moderators can see.

    If you had made any effort to look into how to make it work you would have to post a “ im so entitled “ type post, complaining “ me me me and “I should get this now”.

    After I did it once without it registering a completion, a 20 second google search answered why, and how to make it work. A simple load screen between killing the lord and opening the vault was pretty common knowledge in the circles I sailed with.

    I will out this one down to your own stupidity. Just do it again, it takes like 29 mins to do, no big deal really

    I agree with some of the other posts in here in regards to the fact that it was well known that the completions were not showing up, why continue to do it 5,8,10,14 times?

    You completed it right? You got the loot and turned it in right?
    Besides commendations...you were still rewarded with the treasure which still should go into any commendations for Gold, Order and Merc. Even Legends.

    so in a way...were still rewarded just not for anything new. Calm down and sorry for your lose.

    Umm. You know SoT isn't free and we all have been 'taken' for money so to speak. I made a purchase that I am satisfied with. However, we need to be critical to issues that arise to protect our purchase or (like always has happened in the past) we get taken advantage of.

    You don't value time? Time is money. We convert time and labour into $$$. Play time and enjoyment is the same thing. Whether you're at a job (good for you if you actually enjoy it) or you're on your computer/xbox playing SoT (typically people play what they enjoy) to destress.

    The game has been out for awhile now. Commendations are their progression system and to be fair its not new and its boring that Rare still has these kinds of issue. I think this thread is fair game.

    I don’t think I’ve gotten credit for any of it but we had fun.

    That’s all that matters.

    The “magic” is in the experience. The crew, the laughs, the friends you make. Win lose or draw that is what keeps me coming back!

    I apologize that my square rubbed you the wrong way. But unfortunately, getting onto the forums and seeing the amount of posts that you make over the same topics under different guises doesn't please me either. How about we call it even and not give out any more awards?

    Why people keep working in the game instead of playing?

    If I do the fort is for fun. You knew it the counter was broken, why did you do 8 times the fort if you wanted it to be counted knowing it was broken?
