Yes, sadly, I've done it 2 more times since my last post saying how they weren't counting, and they haven't counted either. I really wish that when this does get fixed, we could somehow get credit retroactively for previous Forts completed (when it wasn't counting). I know this probably won't be possible though, so for now, I'm definitely holding off and not going near the Fort anymore until this is fixed. Hopefully the commendations are working correctly very soon. 🙇♀️

@spiralout46and2 we know its not working, this thread has work arounds. I don't know why people are still wasting their time.

Who says it wasn't identified in insiders? Identified and fixed are not the same thing.
Of course. I think you missed my point. And that's understandable, since I'm an Insider as well and was trying very hard to be discreet. Haha!

why they released FOTD with a broken main commendation? i think if sot lose more and more players its rares own fault it would be really sad cause the game itself is great if it wouldnt great i wouldnt grind;) but all these bugs annoying me ,and the empty arena servers are also not a good sign like the lfg on xbox drop under 100 1 year ago 350 people searched for groups.
@king-deka He's said multiple times.... Don't Die wait for the fort to be cleared, and Tuck on the Island, not the boat. I'll be giving this a shot tonight.

He mentioned his tactic in a previous post since I had the same question (and same luck!) as you. :)
@KING-DEKA @Tangus-00 Yeah I have had much lower luck today than the other days, only able to get 47/50 before I turned it off. So like 7 or 8 today (I got 20 in one day before). Seems people are waiting for the hotfix to work, or just don't like the fort :/. I have stolen over a million gold this last few days, if you can imagine how many others that have lost loot at the fort, it has probably annoyed a lot of people enough to not try it again.
Edit: In my crew we have a person from each region to try and hit as many diff servers as poss.

My partner and I got all of the lights and got 2 Ritual Skulls and went to the Fort, thinking that one would fight and one would stay on the ship so we never died. We hoped that maybe more ships would come up and help, as it would be pretty lengthy trying to do the entire Fort with one person fighting lol.
Well, as luck would have it, we activated it and almost instantly started seeing ships appearing on the horizon lol. 😄👏😎 3 ships came up and joined our Alliance, so we had 4 crews working together. It was awesome! I took this screenshot last night: 😎👌
One of the other ships also had a Ritual Skull, so we completed it 3 times together and the best part? We all got credit because my partner and I took turns staying back on the ship, keeping lookout, so we never died. It worked and it was a great time. And nobody ever betrayed the Alliance, even when we all split up and turned the loot in. Good times. 💜Looking forward to the fix now though so nobody has to stay back and we can all help fight (and die lol).
Side note: I did read the tip to leave the Fort and come back before opening the vault, in order for the commendation to count as well. But about half of the 10 people there weren't in any form of communication with us, so I'm sure that wouldn't have ended well if they saw us running back to our ship with the vault key and trying to sail away with it. Or shooting ourselves out of a cannon and swimming back before the vault key was used, as everyone was at the vault door jumping around excitedly, waiting for the vault to open. I don't think they would understand the delay, so we just kept one person back to stay alive and it worked out well for us. 😊👏🌊🤝

Last night at 10PM EST on Oct 22nd, I completed one fort without dying and got my 3rd accommodation. My crew started it up again and cleared it but we each had at least one death. It did not count. I am currently 3 out of 11 forts. It is not fixed. I was told by people in my crew that they heard it was fixed, and I even saw a youtuber explain a trick that if you did die you can use a mermaid teleport at the very end to get the accomadation. Nope, didnt work. But if I go solo and sneak onto the island and tuck, i get one?

@hazeree i used the mermaid trick 3/3 times yesterday and it worked ....idk rare posted also it should be fixed but it seems its not....i was with two others crews in a alliance at the fort

How this trick exactly works?
@king-deka just after you finished the fort use your cannon on your ship or somwhere else;) shoot far away use the mermaid and thats it, after it you can use the key and open the vault
FYI everyone although Rare confirmed on social media that the commendations will not be retroactive, I received an email from the support team to say they are aware of the issue, and hope to implement a fix in a future update. So there’s still hope for retroactive completions. But, has the damage already been done? :/ a lot of very angry players.
