Fort of the damned clear commendation not counting ...

7 FOTD cleared (boss and key down) and 0 work for the commendation ! please dear rare make an hotfix really quickly and give us a BIG gift for this mistake

Every time there is a update it's geting worse than worse

Cuz all we do is to speculate....nobody knows for sure.

@reapinglegion I have 22 counted completions. I’ve tested it plenty to get it 100% every time. I think I can safely say I know for sure.

@tre-oni People who say it doesn't work are the ones hiding on the boat.

Just going to add my two cents: I just completed the fort from beginning to end and did not get the commendation. Would be a shame if you have to have a crew mate alive on the island the whole time...

That's how it probably is right now according to some people here and @SatanicNemesis who has confirmed it with 100%.....
Maybe wait 'til next month for the "hotfix" to come or somesthing hahaha

Completed 4 before the "hotfix" and three this morning. No completion commendation, but def getting the Skelly ones.

What's worse now is I didn't get any xp or gold for the turn in. 3 ship alliance, each had a full fort loot. We all got the pop ups for turn in, bit no one got the actual gold or xp.

That's a total of ~7 hrs now that I've played this update, they'd better retroactively credit this.

@rcadden They said they wont. Basically tough luck. I find it weird how thats not tracked although they tracked that I killed a shark with a keg 15 months ago some time and gave me the achievement as soon as i logged in. Weird right?

So the "hotfix" is out? - I thought it wasen't...but alright alright cool.

Our crew knocked out the Fort 4 times last night and we got 'credit' for two completions (including the achievement). Whether this is deliberate or not, we believe we understand why. It appears that to "clear the Fort of the Damned of all enemies" you have to be sure you've killed all of the skeletons that Graymarrow summons before you finish him off. We were completing the event as a "solo" galleon the first time, fending off other ships. We were killing all of the skellys to make it easier to focus on Graymarrow, and he was alone when we beat him. We got credit in the game immediately, and the achievement popped.

Later on, we had some people of various levels of dependability decide to ally with us, and we know that on at least two of those occasions, there were still skellys in play when Graymarrow went down. In all, we only got credit for 2/4 completions. It seems to us that the key is for your crew to clear all of the enemies, and not to let killing Graymarrow clear them for you.

Not very clear in the game if that's the case, but that seems like what we experienced.

@z0rk This is not correct, please read through the conversation before giving false information, it will just lead to more time wasting for other crews.

@satanicnemesis I did read the conversation, and saw your opinion. I know for certain that we got the commendation after every single one of us dying at least once during the fight. Therefore, I proposed an alternative theory based on our experience.

@z0rk Your theory is incorrect, you got the credit because someone was tucking on your island or someone in your crew/alliance didn't die.

These are currently the only 2 known methods to get the commendation credit.

• Sail (with the whole crew) away to a different island after killing Greymarrow then come back before opening the door.
• Have someone survive the fort the whole time and be on the island.

Believe it or not, but its been thoroughly tested. Your theory is incorrect and a result of coincidental timing to one of the two methods above.

With the commendation broken at the moment, we don't need people muddying the waters even more.

Same for me, one came in next day then day later it went to two. Then I hit 5 but nothing for awhile. Since reached 6 but have done it more like 20. Put a support ticket it and had nothing back yet. Been 3 days not like SOT to ignore you although a Twitter post said they are working on a hotfix.

I have done the fort twice, I was on a galleon and there was no alliance. We did the entire ritual to activate, cleared every enemy, twice. We opened the vault twice, no one got the commendation for clearing the FoTD of all enemies, but the other commendations for killing the different color skeletons, talking to Jim etc all worked.

Please fix and retroactively restore the commendation for everyone, not all of use have the time to go back and do everything again. Some of my crewmates have done it 10+ times and not received any credit for this commendation, asking people to do that again isn’t right. Twice isn’t that bad but I know others have done it many more times and received no credit.

I am considering holding off doing the FoTD until this is fixed because it takes so long, I already am PL10, have more gold/doubloons than I can spend, and to have it not count makes it literally pointless, when all I need is that Jacket and the commendations!

Please fix this Rare I love the game and the new update but just want credit for what I and others have already done. :)

It's bugged again! It worked for the last two days.

Cleared the FOTD 4 times now last night I killed Greymarrow and opened the fort still no commendations popped 😢😢

To me a larger issue revolves around the Insider process (ie: why wasn't this caught?) But that's a conversation for another subforum.

Who says it wasn't identified in insiders? Identified and fixed are not the same thing.
