at skullfort and captain spontaneously combust on it's own-- key lost?

    our team was fighting captain, one person died, i was running to the main building and helped the other guy there kill the horde-- but the captain was MIA and we went to search for it suddenly we heard it die and the key was gone. No one knew where the captain or key was... this happened 30-ish minutes before server shut down, now we lost loot and we have to try to grind out the next fort??? We 100% did not have a stow away, we kept trying to find ship interactions but we hardly found another ship at all on our server. Also, I've noticed that recently when we couldn't find a regular skeleton (like last of the wave) we've heard them die too... this is just my first time seeing it with the captain.

    EDIT: We hit the next fort, almost completed it with 15 minutes to go, sloop rolls up and tries sneaky stuff-- they give a decent battle for what it was, they sunk, they had a decent amount of loot-- we turned that in instead. Last item was turned in with 1 minute left in the server. At least we made away with something!

    @ironrangemaiden If you heard the music for the Captain being killed I would assume that another crew was actually hidden on the island and took the key.
    Otherwise it could be that the fort "timed out", but I have never heard of this happening when crews are actively at the fort.

    I would heavily suspect foul play via another Pirate in this case.

    Had this happen to my wife and me. We was fighting the fort and captain popped up then out of nowhere we hear the victory music like we defeated it but everything vanished. We never found the skull. We had to chalk it up as a loss. Best thing I know is report the bug and try and remember everything and everywhere when doing so

    @fds-labirynth I will definitely report it, we have it on stream even so that should be easy enough to do. Just so frustrating at the end right before shut down! I mean frustrating always but, really, gee, just our luck...

    @sshteeve Guarantee you no one was there. But again, I noticed when doing waves there have been a few times that we could hear one last skeleton, search the whole island, can't find him and suddenly we hear him die and new wave starts-- we never minded, as long as the new wave came along, but with the captain it sucked. My best guess is it got glitched somewhere on the map?? It's just irritating that the key disappeared with it wherever it was, and wondered if anyone else has experienced similar things.
