Killed the kraken but it didn't add up in the accomodation

    We killed the kraken but it never added up in the accomodation. I started with 3/5 and it never added up to 4/5 and my friends didn't get the 1st accomodation either. What do I do? It's already hard enough to get a kraken and to kill it. I was very sad i didn't get the add up.. Can this be fixed? Can I message the devs so they can add it up? (after a quick restart it didn't add up either)

    Hi @helimatra, I've found this commendation a bit finicky when it comes to ticking over. I've had several occasions when it hasn't register for myself or a crewmate.

    I suggest raising a Support Ticket and hopefully the team will be able to help.

    Do you have to be in the ink to get the credit for it? I was on a sloop and a gally came and sank us after we did majority damage to the Kraken and they finished it off. When we were sailing back, didn't get credit for it.

    @personalc0ffee - I've been in the ink when it fled and didn't receive the commendation, so believe there is an issues with this one. I've also had a few other commendations not rolling over since the last update and have raised support tickets for these.

    @tartansnake Could it be that you have to destroy every tentacle? Maybe a in-game timer for it? You have x amount of minutes to destroy it? Or destroy a certain amount of tentacles for it to count to being destroyed?

    @shinten-rai - I had a few ideas why it wasn't working; timer, must be in the ink, etc. I've tested these all and doesn't seem to be the case as had a crew all on a ship in the ink & one member didn't receive the commendation. Seems to be random.

    Same here, killed the creature at least 5 times. Only counted twice...

    Raising that support ticket!

    @helimatra are you sure you killed it? Or did it just disappear because of thr time? Defeating and disappearing looks the same

    It didn’t tick over for my crew either. We defeated the Kraken and then the server migrated. I’ve raised a ticket but no response as yet...

    I didn't hear the sound cue for defeating her.. or hear her roar when you defeat it! She left.. you didn't beat her sadly!

    i did raise a support ticket, had several people tell me she fled even tho i killed at least 7 tentacles. i'm very sad that this is possible.. i hope they react on my support ticket soon.. it's a bit wierd that these things can happen, it's already hard enough for it to spawn and then to kill it too. if it is indeed the case that she can flee i really think they should change that because that is just not fair, wasted time and recources for nothing. it's already hard enough to get the 10 achievement..

    @helimatra Ahoy!! But you didn't defeat it!.. In your clip there was no sound cue for defeating it or did I hear her roar when you defeat her.. I only heard the sound cue for defeating a tentacle! A support ticket won't help you as you never defeated her!

    @x5h3ar3rx that's just stupid that that can happen, all this trouble defeating 7 tentacles and then "you didn't defeat her" that is very dissapointing and not fair..

    You don't need to defeat the kraken, just survive. I've hunkered down while solo and waiting it out (roughly 15mins) and received the commendation.

    Yes, I gained a couple of my commendations this way.

    I still don't have the kraken kill achievement and I've been a legend since may 1st. I've killed around 15 Krakens. I gave up on it. Same with that one where you turn all the lights out in a storm. Impossible to complete.

    My two cents on getting the achievement and having the kill register: I have never had an issue with this either surviving it for the achievement or killing it for the commendation.

    In either case you need to raise sails to stay in the ink. You can run through the kraken but fighting it after you've escaped it may keep it from counting.

    In every instance where it's been defeated (survived) we've raised sails once it spawns and fought it off. On launch day we did it until it de-spawned and we received the achievement. I'm 2 for 2 in trying to fight the kraken since the update. In both instances we raised sails to fight, shot the nearest tentacles and continued until the ink and kraken de-spawned. Both instances counted towards kraken kills.

    Had a similar issue with turning in my last stronghold chest had 9/10 turned in last one and no movement 🤔

    @helimatra Sorry, but I don't think you killed it; it usually plays a music cue when you defeat it but this one just faded out. I think you took too long as there is a timer on the encounter.
