😡😡 Stop cross play with pic players and Xbox, 😡😡

    Every time me and my crew and any other Xbox players play against pic players we notice they are hacking...

    1. They turn faster then Xbox players.
      2.They cheat/hack by ddosing you basically hack into your connection and lag you out.
      3.We watched these guys run quicker then us despite we had a head start...
      4.Because they have bigger framerate then Xbox players they see further and react quicker.

    How to avoid this, make none cross play server so we don't have to suffer I've played since beta and enjoy this game but playing pc do my head in I avoid them on ever cross play game.

    @lukesb36 What is PIC? Do you mean PC?
    That we hack and that kind of things, yeah, it could be, but hackers are a very small percentage, and do you have the proof that someone uses cheats? Also, XBOX is going to have keyboard and mouse support soon, so you can buy a mouse and a keyboard and now you can turn faster.

    I’m on Xbox and I have never noticed a hacker. Not even once. A lot of people exaggerate and call others hacker just for losing. Once I killed a guy simply using my sword and he said “Ooohh, you have god mode!!! That’s why!!!”, he was so mad, lol. One of the few arguments for making crossplay optional is about the mouse and keyboard advantage, but Xbox will be allowing this too (I don’t know when).

    What if Rare keeps refusing to separate the playerbase? They say no to this repeatedly.

    1. up your sensitivity to 20,
      they fixed that.
    2. that's not how DdoS works
      They would need your IP and Xbox hides that.
    3. highly unlikely
      This can be attributed to server lag
    4. that's not how framerate works.
      I'm not even going to explain this....

    I'm a PC player. I don't hack... never have never will... won't even know where to begin...
    I have a friend list as long as my leg of PC players, none of them hack...

    so your claim is completely 100% false

    Yes, PC has some advantages over Xbox, that is clear but nothing from what you stated is the problem (or even factually correct)... NOT ONE THING.

    1.Sensitivity 10 on the controller is faster than what I use on my mouse.
    2.I 100% think you are making this up, maybe dont play on bad wifi or on a low connection while the fam watches netflix
    3.you can sprint in the game,are you aware of that?
    4.If they have good hardware
    5.HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW THEY ARE XBOX OR PC?Is everyone who beats you a PC player?Are you sure you are better than everyone else in the game?There are millions of players in the game odds are there are ALOT of people better than you on XBOX and PC.

    Gamerscore says absolutely nothing about which system they are playing on....

    You are under half of my gamerscore and i play on both systems (mostly pc though for sot) however you would assume that i am playing on XBox.

    You are as multiple people blisfully unaware what you are accusing people of because you heard some big words like DDOS and FPS and are contributing stuff to it that has nothing to do with it.

    For a DDOS you require an IP Address which another player is unable to obtain from you because you have no direct connection to eachother, everything goes trough the servers.

    FPS has nothing to with renderdistances its to do with smoothness of display

    Im a PC gamer.. my score is double yours by tens... my son on the other hand 15 years old... his gamerscore is low as can be in the single thousands... only a console player... ever... Then there's alt's to consider of which I have 2 and I play them on this game only so of course they have low gamerscores...

    I also just had a nice encounter with some PC cheaters.
    I play on the PC too, so I am screwed either way if this were to go through. Just sucks when the 3 people you fight are all using macros for double shooting, aimbotting, teleporting and then not only that, proceed to spawn camp you by keeping your ship afloat even after you scuttled it, forcing you to log out to get away.
    I only got the name of 1 of them too... Thanks recent players!

    @danish-crusader while cheating is definitely out there, how did they keep your ship up when you scuttled? and I hate to tell ya but you can double shot without the macro (it's slower on a controller but still works fine).
    If ya got the name, report them and let microsoft deal with them.

    @muzackmann I am asking myself the same thing, every time I got back to the ship, it was still afloat with water below half. They would insta-kill me with double-shooting the second I got back.
    And jumping and turning, aiming and shooting 2 shots quickly cannot be done with a controller, so they were PC players, no question.
    Also, I did kill 1 of them by shooting him in the back as he was bailing water(His guys shot him instead of me, I died a second later though), and by the time I respawned he was already back on my ship.

    But yes, I am letting Microsoft deal with the 1 guy I got the name of. Just hate it when it happens... Lousy cheaters.

    @joker3740 yeah and you notice that how and as stated before me what does that have to do with anything, you as an xbox player can too just use your phone...

    Pc players can xbox chat, game chat, discord or whatever simeltanious but that doesnt have anything to do with how skillfull you are in the game and gives no advantage whatsoever...

    Dude you are grasping at straws here and there is nothing you stated so far that holds any merrit....

    It looks like you have been swimming in the sea too much and got waaay too salty for your own good, as stated i play on both platforms and kill/get killed by players from both platforms.

    The settings you can change (sensitivity and whatnot) trivializes any advantage a pc player can have its mostly due to skill when somebody bites the salty waters and loses their loot/ship be it a console or pc player

    Facts are:

    • cheaters are in the minority and cheating is being monitored by RARE
    • Not all pc players play with keyboard and mouse but with controller (all advantages for pc is then gone)
    • even in this thread XBox players are contradicting you, your own folk.

    I just watched my gf obliterate a crew and she is on Xbox lol. Xbox vs PC is fine

    I've played since alpha, played on both xbox and PC which have both been fine.

    Just change your controller settings and practice getting better if its that big of an issue.

    I have had some great PVP battles against both PC and xbox players with no problems at all.

    Like all games, there is always people better than you even if everyone is on xbox or PC thats just the way it is .

    Hackers and people that exploit games are always around too doesn't matter what you play or play on.

    Ahoy there, we'd strongly suggest that any suspected incidents which you encounter with other players should be reported via Support with as much detail as possible, including times, locations etc
    In this way, the data can be pinpointed and the behaviour analysed for any irregularites.

    Rare has a zero tolerance policy towards those who use cheats or hacks and when proven, players will be banned.

    As discussions of this nature cannot always be satisfactorily be resolved on the forums I'll also close this one down now.
