I haven't had the pleasure of finding it myself yet, but I will be scouring the Forsaken Shores for the prized possession later on!
@admiral-rrrsole I actually tried to talk @creepyweirdguy2 into leaving it behind cause we lost it in water.(figured it would sink) He talked me into going back for it after I pulled away from island to save our ship. We almost sunk two more times on way back.We sunk right at the outpost from a meg attack. Lucky we spawned back to save our floating loot just in time.
@katttruewalker Do you think it should be customized to be a little more interesting in appearance, besides the roping around and glowing images?

Actually it glows and looks like no other loot in the game. This is distinct enough for me to never leave it behind until I know what it is.

How?! Acient Spire is so close! The new merchant boxes are really worth the travel..

Well, hmm, interesting question, it does seem that this chest and it's ilk are rather powerful and mysterious objects, lots of strange markings and indecipherable languages... I'd love to know who and where they originated from.....
@katttruewalker If it starts talking to me in decipherable languages and scaring away the mermaids I'm leaving it near the next geyser!

@barnacle-blake one of the best moments of this game was trying to collect this mystery box and bring it back to an outpost alive. Took us awhile to complete but definitely worth the time and effort. #NeverLeaveLoot :)
