Defeat Meg for a chance at a gold SCAR!!!
You need this sea of thieves!!
The reason that they do not have this sort of stuff in the game is because they always wanted this to be a skill based game.
If you can just grind all day to get a sword that kills in one hit it takes the skill out of combat. Fights are won and lost based on how much grinding you have done not how skilled you were in that moment.
The developer time that would have been spent on making 1000 different swords was spent making 100s of mechanics that can interact to allow players a very large degree of freedom.
A skilled player uses their knowledge of the game mechanics and their experience with them to win battles, and it's much more satisfying than having a magic sword of "I win"
If you want to get an idea of what I mean have a look on Youtube for @DrunkPunk138 absolutely phenomenal ladder shot, powder keg sinking. Can't find a link right now. Watch the video, learning how to be skilled and lucky enough to pull off something like that will give you so much more pleasure than an Orange sword of swift-slaying ever could.

I can't seem to find it on my Youtube channel, but here it is in gif format. And thanks, it was a fun one :)
No thanks. I’m already not a fan of cursed canon balls and adding more powerful weapons for certain players would kill the game for me. Not interested.
Me and my mates have loved the balance since launch. It keeps us all coming back and playing together regardless of much time time each of us has put in.

Tell that to the cursed cannonballs
@jbb02 ow is it now ? On which numbers are you basing this remark on ? Do you have figures on people playing, if so please share them because i am quite interested in them and rare/microsoft is not sharing them.
If you dont have the numbers you cannot simply claim that it is and like @Musicmee has said we have been hearing it since release yet the game flourishes time after time again....
Also i wouldnt like statted weapons, not because i wouldnt be able to afford them i have more gold then i care for and nobody is able to have as much doubloons as i have unless they didnt buy every single buyable cosmetic Duke had to offer.
So if statted weapons came in for purchase i would buy them all at once and own the seas even more....
Since the release of The hungering deep i have only sunk once in PVP combat, all the other encounters i have had ended in us getting the win and optional loot.

There's a certain amount of skill involved in fighting using them and against them, but they are a bit too prolific.
Not sure it makes sense either from a lore POV, I mean didn't we defeat Wanda? Why are there even more CCBs now than there were when she was making them?
Surely they should be a relatively rare relic from that conflict rather than something you find in every second or third barrel.
