How do you PVP?

  • I’m curious About your take on pvp. How do you approach a battle? How do you assign roles? While running a Galleon Do you keep two on ship and send two to board? How do you guys pvp at forts on a sloop? I’d love to hear your strats mateys. The more we learn the more skilled we become.

  • Aye, if I told you, I'd have to kill you!

  • @novas-soul usually we try to keep three on the gally, i usually become the boarder or the one that lays an ambush for the opposing party.

Its not that i am the best at pvp of my team, that guy usually stays behind on the ship i am just really good at boarding and distracting the opposing team so my team can do maximum damage.

And i just keep running around preventing repairs and eyeballing any and all potential loot on the other crew’s ship.

Once a battle is +/-90% done and there is loot another teammate joins me on the enemy ship and one of us starts prepping the loot for easy pickup once our ships comes in close

  • @psych0-knightro hehe fair enough

  • @callmebackdraft very nice, my crew and I are similar. Sometimes I’ll run into an enemy crew that guards ladders like their ghost dust depends on it. At that point I’ll call out for a second boarder to put more pressure on them.

  • @novas-soul yep the ladder guarders are a boarders worst nightmare, thats why we keep three people on board allways able to pu 4 eyes on a ladder.

My way of making them ladder guarders fail is by failing to board now and then to get their guard down and if they still persist put some cannon artillery at their position.

The ship creates the distraction for me to board, i then create the distraction for the ship to sink he opposing party

  • So there are several ways I pvp. One is sloop fights are tough but can be effective if you have two things a good driving/cannonier team and a good defense/board team. If you only have one of these that will limit your ability. Sending the best pvp team mate over to the other team is a poor choice as it leaves your ship open. Also keep the best pvper on the ship unless winning is guaranteed. Send the person that needs work since this will not only help with the team over all by allowing him or her to gain needed experience but also drain the enemies supplies. Send the person over with only 2 bananas since that will allow for healing and them to take from the enemies ship. Take everything you can, less supplies means more advantages for your crew. Keeping the enemy close but far also works. Keep your ladders guarded and if they get 9n the ship don't panic. Keep the enemy away from your bananas and anchor more the anchor then bananas since those can be restored later. I find the pistol and cutlass the best when dealing with people but blunderbusses for ladders l.

  • Nice Question matey!

First off our motto is often (not always mind you) never shoot first, we're not the agressors, we often sail by to say hello and announce ourselves with the speaking horn, if however the other party shoots at us it's all fair game.

I myself always stay at the helm, cannons, repairs and bailing together with one other crewmember, this ensures the survival of our boat and a constant stream of damage to tne enemy.

One friend of ours will try to position himself with a gunpowder barrel (depending on the situation) and disrupt the enemy.

Our last cremember is flexible, he stays on the ship or boards when needed, he's often the one who goes in last when the first boarder has anchored the enemy ship.

We use 2 sails down to get enough manouverability/ speed to be accurate and still nimble enough. If we anchor the opponent the front sail goes up as well and we navigate with the rear sail, we then make the slow circle of death punching holes in the lower deck as we go. It's often game over when we do this. One person peppers the upper deck for people trying to raise anchor or shoot back the rest damages the hull.
    One boards and disrupts repairs.
