there is a small black Skull in a few black waves just east of Devil's Ridge its in ( Z-25) on the map never been that far south East might have to sail down there just to see

Still not sure if it was a random Encounter, have to try again, but i guess this one was a bigger one as it apears in randoms atm, and it was the dark one, took about 20 cannon hits.

What the OP failed to mention, and has confused everyone with vagueness, is that he sailed to where the skull is and was attacked by a megaladon. That's all.

I thought there were some black skeleton boss lurking in the seas at those icons, that i've somehow missed.
