Golden sands ( weapons shop ) strange occurrence

    Anyone else noticed the women in the weapons store at golden sands if you stand outside she’s messing with arm?
    But when you enter , you can ask her what’s the matter and she gets defensive.
    Do you guys think this has something too do with next update?

    No, I haven't noticed, but I also play with my TV volume really low. Because my sloop partner is in the same room as me and has his TV volume blaring so I go by his TV sounds.

    Alot of the npc do things. It may be for future releases, but as so many have little sayings, I don't give it much credence. I think it is also at golden sands at the items shop that they talk about the key for an underwater door.

    I think dialogue has always been the same..

    I don't think the animation has though.

    I always feel bad for the one Souls vendor (either on Golden Sands or Sanctuary, can't remember) who wants to become a pirate so badly. I always wanna grab her arm and be all, "let's get nuts, shipmate" and whisk her off on an adventure.

    I'd say go check it out, it's definitely a new animation and the name has changed to 'the blacksmith' rather than Wanda

    I've seen speculation on this on Twitter.

    After investigating she's getting quite agressive, telling me I should sink my ship and just die along with it (she says it a lot nastier actually)

    Speculation goes that she's contracted the mermaid's curse. Remember she's a temporary NPC replacing the normal shopkeep. She doesn't even have a name (just being called the blacksmith).
    So if she's got the mermaids curse we might get an event where our nice stage 1-2 mermaids get really nasty and evolve into the agressive stage 3 mermaids and our old mermaids get replaced with people like the blacksmith who just recently turned (are about to turn)
