Gather 'round youngins while I tellsya the tale of how I got me commendations at sea as the most ruthless pirate that ever ... um.. told this 'ere tale to yer all... right at this very minute.
Ya see, I was scouring the horizon far and wide looking fer stashed items of the highest regard. I'm not afraid to admit facing hell on high water.
Seas that were wild enough to shatter a sloop's camber, rocking it back and forth, back and forth by no less than two whole degrees.
It mightn't seem much to an experienced ol' sea dog like me but, believe me when I says, over a distance of 50 yards when fired from a cannon.. well let's just say it still brings me nightmares of face-planting tall boulders over and over again.
To add salt water to injury, each failed attempt had to be witnessed by another crew of treacherous pirates ready to cut me throat at any given moment.
Despite all logic and any fears a lesser sea dog may 'ave, I pounded that there rock with me face, before bouncing off, time and time again. Arrrgh.
'Cause ya see youngins, that's what being a ruthless cutthroat pirate is all about.... besides capturing beastly wild chickens and the like.
But that be another tale not so close to yer bedtime.
So there I be. Proud to 'ave finally conquered the unreachable goal. The pinnacle of all villainous pirates. The "holy grail" as it were.
I had earned the honor to stand tall with me chest proudly puffed out and be admired by all beneath me.
"then what happened, granddad?"
Well, as an elite true man among the most fearsome hardest men of the seas, I glanced once more over the horizon and I sat on that there throne, went about my business then quickly jumped into the water to wash my butt. Praying for the day that toilet paper would be invented.
The scariest thing about being a pirate is dropping yer draws to share the throne with a group of pirate strangers who have all been at sea for far too long.
