Delay the manual sink to avoid the abuse of this mechanics

  • Add a delay of 10 minutes after every sink to be able to manually sink your own ship in order to avoid the abuse of this mechanic to teleport near an enemy.

Edit: I mean that we shouldn't be able to scuttling over and over in order to "teleport" us near an enemy / fort / wathever.

So, if our ship has been sunk recently, we shouldn't be able to activate the option during some minuts.

  • Do you mean if you are sunk, stop your ship from being sunk?
    Or
Do you mean if they are sunk, stop your ship from being sunk?

Off topic... anyone ever tried to get both, or all 4 crew members below deck when scuttling? Can it be stopped through boarding up the holes in time and bailing?

  • @sshteeve
It works similar to when you sail into the red sea at the edges of the map. You can keep repairing and keep it afloat but the ship will disappear eventually anyway.

  • @little-squash Cheers buddy! glad someone has tried it out as i never thought to until today!

  • @sshteeve OP is discussing scuttling over and over as a tactic to get a preferred spawn location. perhaps right next to the people who sunk it originally. or another scenario:

"hey, a skull fort across the map. let's just vote to scuttle until we're closer."

    hope this helps 👌🏻

  • @sshteeve No,the scuttle holes are different and cannot be patched. Source: Me and my sloop buddy tried.

  • @sshteeve it cannot be done, we tried salvaging a scuttlers ship l**o

  • @guepard4 agree completely
