Just finished the EA conference; A slow but promising start. Not a lot of "wow!" factor, but some solid announcements still.
Anthem looks incredible (can't believe Disney/Marvel haven't made an Iron Man game with those flight mechanics yet though), but considering it's Bioware, I need a whole hell of a lot more story to get me properly invested.
It's a frickin' Bioware game, and after Andromeda's bomb, fans want to see a new incredible story, not just flashy gameplay.
EDIT; Kotaku did a round up of everything we know about Anthem so far; https://kotaku.com/everything-we-know-about-biowares-anthem-1826699016
I don't like it...
Battlefield V sounds very promising, but that Royale announcement kinda broke my heart a bit. There's too much Royale stuff going around right now, and I don't need any more.
Kudos to Andrea Rene for making a pretty low key conference work though, too many of these things just devolve into absolute cringe fests with bad host/guest combos, but she nailed it.
Lookin' forward to Microsoft's conference though. They've had some years now to dig themselves out of the hole Don Mattrick dug them into, so hopefully they can finally do an absolutely breathtaking E3 show.
