@x6diablo The ghost outfit isn't legend gear. You do have to be a legend to wear the legend gear. I don't see why this upsets people. Being the only legend in my group means that if nobody else could get these rewards why would they want to do athenas? They're just long, boring, dragged out voyages that are only fun to speed run. The way rewards are currently setup lets everyone play together, I get to bring my friends in the hideout, they get to buy the gear that they earned by working on the voyages. I don't see why this is a problem.
The incentive is a a*s ton of gold. Ghost gear should strictly be endgame for pls.

@messiahxxxx Buddy, you get more gold doing normal lvl 50 voyages. Athena's are terrible if you're gold farming. You spend 2+ hours on 1 voyage getting 2 merch orders, 8 skulls, and 10 chests (11 if you include athena's). On average about half of these will be marauders chests and disgraced skulls. When I do 1 level 50 gh mission I can get upwards of 12 chests and 7+ will be captains. 1 OoS voyage can give me the same amount of skulls with a majority being hateful/villainous. I don't know why you people have such an issue with people being rewarded with ghost gear for committing to what are honestly terrible voyages for the amount of time you have to give.
@messiahxxxx End game for PLs is being able to sail freely and hunt down other players.
I highly doubt a low level would reach tier 10 of Athena and still be a low level unless a crew is only letting them turn in the Legendary Chest. Even then the final tier is supposedly 100 chests which is 200 hours roughly of Athena's Voyages. If someone is willing to put in that level of work I say they have earned it.
There is no skill based anything in this game, it's all about your commitment to grinding or hijacking other pirates loot.
Instead of focusing on the ghost gear set they should be looking into challenges you complete to get certain gear. Kill 10 pirates get X, Kill 100 pirates get Y, Kill 1000 pirates unlock Z!

@messiahxxxx It is very, very stupid. You have an outfit they can't wear, ship skins they can't have. If they take the time to help you do your tedious voyage it's more than fair to give them access to the ghost gear. If someone's boosting it that's a different story. But how are you going to sit here and cross your arms and act upset that people are being rewarded for their time? They earn the ghost gear the same as you do.
