After few days looking for people to do quest, I've finaly found mates to sum the megalodon.
First try did not go well for me and my ship but the others killed the beast. Unfortunetly for me, I wasn't get back to the place when they won the fight.
So 2hrs later, I comeback with some friends and I was finaly able to do another try.
Everything going well until the megalodon just disapeared in mid fight... He was attacking the ship and abracadabra ! Music stopped, sea calmed down.
No success validated.
No way to contact a game master.
Impossible to get some support.
It's sad to see things like that just after an update.
It was a waste of time and i'm really mad about that, I really hope that this bug will be fixed asap.

Sorry for your loss but using ***** to block swearing is still against the pirate code. Bugs happen and the best thing to to is file a Support ticket

Maybe a @Deckhands will have another way of doing this? They are the experts afterall.
@shuoink I can understand that we need to be in this square for summon him, but like you said he moves us in the fight and we can't keep the focus on the map...
I've cheched my map when he bugged and I was at the good place but maybe the second ship wasn't...@n0wever yeah after we realized what was going on we just dropped anchor after he came back and stayed put to take him out. GL!
@ant-heuser-kush Yeah it's totally right and I can understand that point.
It's clearly not the end of the world but it's really frustrating because it takes a lot of times and a some luck to find people ready to help you. I spended like 2hrs/day staying next to Merrick to find people.

It's not a big deal, if you're pushed to S26...best way to start is anyway between S26 and T26...the first time we summoned it we were in the middle of S26
@shuoink I did not have time to test anything, the other ship leaved the area too fast..

Have had several fights where I had to convince people to drop anchor and they almost lost the meg because they didn't listen right away. Also if you get knocked out into red sea or t26, raise anchor and recenter.
I found have a couple ships close to each other reduces the knockback, if the ships collide. Does cause the occasional collision hole though.
@n0wever I've had a similar glitch a couple of times with Meg. We were in T26, anchored, and suddenly Meg just went for a coffee break. Nowhere in sight, music stopped. Well, all we had to do was sail away to T24, then come back and there she was again.
