The idea is simple and something that's part of a lot of other mltiplayer games. Instead of having each message you type in game vanish to never be seen again after a few seconds have them reappear in the corner of the screen once you type the next one or use the pre-implemented ones.
This would be pretty useful if someone misses a message or only gets to read half of a longer text.
Ideally it would only show a few messages at a time but be scrollable.
Please introduce a text chat history
@skirakzalus Yes please. I wouldn't mind a log in there with it so that when you sell a chest or something it logs the type of chest and amount of gold you got.
@skirakzalus Yes, this has been suggested before so a lot of us want it.
I thought the same, to have a small icon of some sort in the top corner of screen. Click it to drop down a short (in height) scroll able list of messages.
This should include who has joined or left the crew. Also introduce a captain's log with the same details as mentioned above plus the islands you've stopped at along the way.
It would be cool to also list the treasures you've found including voyage quests, shinnies washed up on beaches and shipwrecks.
Even battles fought, listing recently met gamer tags for ease of adding to friends, reporting or simply to know who's on the ferry with you that was in the recent battle. Many times when the ferry is busy I think to myself "I hope they don't think that I am part of that battle". lolThere really is no end to how much data could be stored for viewing. Games have done it for over a decade like who killed who and with which weapon, counts on head shot, torso, left or right limb, etc.
Not saying that SoT should do all of that, just saying what could be done and giving examples. If people don't want to be fussed by any of it they don't need to read those entries of the log.
