    They way i see it, it is indeed a new AI threat, but this one is suited to scare off Sloops, since the Gally has the kraken. just my thought.

    Maybe the tattoo shop is coming too and finishing a "shark event" will unlock special shark tattooes as someone in the past have suggested about tattooes and shark ship stuff.

    @avecrux , If you take the tailer literally, you will know that playing shanty is one of those options. Before he mentioned the ways of summoning, ships have already disappeared. Just my thought.

    DiD you notice with the cave paintings, the ship has 3 people, and the harpoons stand upright like 2 sails... Me thinks there might be a new ship on the horizon, arrrrgh!

    I've rewatched the trailer, we also see a two mast ship with the people plays music with a drum and the banjo or some kind of guitar

    Don't really think a two mast ship is shown, the last of the 'paintings' only shows 3 people on a small ship with 2 spears stuck in the deck.

    The small crab could be also be interpreted as a tease for more future content like.. "now I am little but later I'll be big" kind of thing. This video teases too much about a big fish to be about crabs :)

    They did indeed announced a new ship for future DLC after this one, but a dinghy wouldn't classify as a ship, but just a small boat ; )
