Joining random crews, these are the results:
- Ship sails into the red ocean 30 seconds after I joined.
- Ship gets gunpowdered by a crewmate 2 seconds after I joined.
- Ship is sailing without any quests, loot or destination with 0% management.
- Same as 3...
- Boarded a ship that got crashed into a huge rock and got stuck, full wind in the sails, anchor up, holes in the middle and 3 people just walking around without doing anything. Oh... And no quest, loot or destination once again.
- Another ship without quest, loot or destination besides a bottled quest on the other side of the ocean and about 30 seconds after I joined the ship crashes into an island with one person just swording the shizzle out of a mast, other 2 went for repairs. No goal, no management, but hey... They did repair the ship, I guess.
- Joined a lobby that just seemed to have started, 2 out of the 3 crewmembers looked decent, seemed like they could actually get some things done. Noone took any materials to the ship but they did start a quest and left the outpost towards a destination. Too bad them 2 out of the 3 were either french or spanish, I think french but not sure... So communication was an issue.
- Joined a galleon as it sunk fighting a sloop, 1 out of the 3 crewmembers quit, the other 2 went on to voyage and didn't look too bad but I'm obviously not going to team with them if they lost to a sloop... First impressions matter... =þ (They spoke english too, so all in all it wasn't to bad a crew tbh)
- Again... Same as 3... But weirdly enough there was a Gold Sovereign aboard and another guy that looked decent. The ship was a mess however, lights on 1 side of the ship were dimmed as the other side was still lit, they were anchored in the middle of the ocean and were just trolling around as everytime I'd raise the anchor they'd drop it again...
- Got into a lobby with just 1 other crewmember, starting out at an outpost. Yaaay, now I get to wait at least 5 minutes to see if my crew is worthwhile... But at this time I had to go as life goes on...
At this point I just give up on random matchmaking.
Yesterday I played a random match with a full crew, we went to an unoccupied skull fort to get some easy money, they kept dying and 2 out of the 3 left as the 3rd went afk on the ship leaving me to solo almost the entire stronghold until a sloop came up, that I actually sank solo, just to continue and get to about wave 8 or 9 before a random spawned in without me noticing and blew up the ship with a gunpowder...
Guess I'm just venting... But this needs to change somehow...
Just wasted my 1,5 hour of gametime on trying to find a decent crew...
