Nobody's trolling you. My message has been pretty clear from the start to be honest.
Stop moaning and look at the bigger picture.
Posting on discord is not keeping us updated firstly and if you are going to brag about how open you are with the community then open up to us don't lie to us saying how open you are with your plans and then not give us any information other than things are happening that's very bland and seems to me like we where being distracted but the distraction has worn of time to talk

If you read what the post was about I wouldn't even have to spend time trying to help you understand that this has nothing to do with self entitlement. We are telling them that we care more about communication then new content.

@gloog some people defend like they work in rare............i drop the game a few days ago cause i got bored, some people still enjoy sailing even doing all the same things again, each person is different, but i know a pretty big community that is dropping one by one till they add more content, problem delaying so much, well, some persons can move on to another game, and just not come back at all till a few months ahead, and that can get the numbers go down, we already noticed last week that playerbase goes down a lot, you cant see many galleons anymore, the last week played all days, and encounter 4 or 5 galleons tops (europe servers)
@ollieoxenfree You can't change anyone's opinion. They have all this pent up energy waiting for new content that they just need to argue with someone, even if your trying to bring to light that better communication would make for smoother sailing.

@noruas Plenty of games companies use social media, but yea you are correct they should also probably post it on the forums. People tend to use social media more than gaming forums though... they make good use of youtube to speak to their players about their views and the direction the game is headed though...
Perhaps they could improve a bit but to say they are terrible is a joke. I've known plenty of games where devs don't communicate at all and are far worse...

Maybe if this post gets enough attention they will admit that they could be doing better. Take a page of the MWO play book. They had a ravenous, toxic, fanboy player base and they managed to stay out of most of the s**t storm by communicating early. They even had a player group that would make announcements and videos similar to what the deckhands do here but more involved.
@blackbeard-lufy They said in the Q&A that some people are all up for fishing but some people are against. And since the boss is not convinced about "fishing" altogether, they are still exploring it.
Argument was that pirates did not fish or that we never see pirates fishing ...
So they dodged the question and kept "fishing" in limbo.

Are you kidding me right now ? How you even played this game ? NOTHING THAT WAS PROMISED is in the game and I mean nothing. I can write a whole book on the topic. No more benefit of doubt my friend. Like the saying goes fool me once fool me twice. Also about the weekly patches most of the things they "say" they fixed are not fixed at all they are just throwing dust in our eyes its BS and it will stop one way or another. Either by the game shutting down or a population of 10 people still playing it in a year or so. I am pirate legend many other ppl are legends two and more and more are popping up every day. Let me tell you this I have 0 motivation to play this "c**p" after I reached legend I just join random crews give them a mission change their ship colors and leave I don't even wanna do legend missions.
I give exactly 0 F's if you dont like my post or if you decide to defend them. Every single lawyer in the world will tell you this case cannot be won. Ship has sailed. All the clues are there whoever is making this game has no clue who to make a game especially MMO. Its either a new team that just graduated university or poor management either way it sucks.

I don’t think anyone asking for anything here is “entitled,” but yes, there are a lot of pious players here that don’t want anyone speaking against their beloved developer.
I love this game. I have recruited many a player to SoT. I want the level of communication that Rare has touted in all their podcasts, and that is not happening. I bring that to light and you get called a whiner, etc.
People preaching patience when they have no patience for feedback is just straight up hypocrisy.

Best way to temper expectations is with clear and timely communication. I’m simply holding the devs to what they said they would do, and they have yet to do it.

You are totally wrong there are countless examples how the community of a certain game for example Mass Effect and EA other BS products forced them to make major changes in the game so we can if we want to force them to change their BS policy.
