To the secret entrance to gunpowder tunnels in search for a chest lantern held high where you come to rest. me and my friend have been trying for so long but we cant find any chest in the tunnel

@natmatt2010 "in search of chest" is alluding to the fact that YOU are looking for a chest. Hold up your lantern at the entrance to the tunnel and you should be good.
@natmatt2010 usually when you need to hold up a lantern close to a cave entrance or something you need to be almost hugging any torch that's around, while raising the lantern up.

Have been walking around some island with a 4 man crew for about 30 minutes trying to figure out why the obvious cave entrance that was mentioned in the riddle didn't work, only to find this out eventually.
