  • @delpoi Tell me, what are your levels?
You get more than enaugh gold while playing.
If you hit 30 30 30 you will have about 500000 gold.
Be patient and do your voyages.

I think the prices are fair.

  • gold isnt the problem in that game i have 200k

Simply hoarding gold is another thing, but if you want to use it and there are nothing you really want to trade it for, that is a major issue. Just because you can hoard gold, it doesn't mean others can't have currency related issues.

Idk, I think most people complain they have too much gold and nothing to spend it on. You might not be voyaging effectively if you're not getting gold. A few tips:

    • Scrap voyages that aren't good. No sense going to huge island to solve 1 riddle for 1 chest when you can scrap it and get 3-5 chests on a smaller island that will take 10 mins

    • Don't go to an outpost after every single island. This takes up alot of time that you could be spending voyaging. Don't load up too much, but you should have at least 1000 worth of gold before going to an outpost. No sense spending 15 minutes to turn in 2 castaways.

    • Keep an eye peeled for shipwrecks. 1 shipwreck will have more then 500 gold worth of stuff. And takes like 2 seconds to grab.

I have like 300,000 gold that I don't even know what to do with. The only thing i want is the Rouge Seadog and Royal Soverign stuff and I cant even buy that till im maxed out on the ranks. I think theres not enough items to spend gold on, which is why they make the few items we do have so expensive.

To you perhaps, but not all of us want to play Broken Casino. Some of us want something more challenging than a mere bottlenecked number game. Something that actually requires us to use our reasoning and become good at it.

  • I've 250k and MOST of the clothes I want, three of each weapon at least, sails, liveries and mastheads, couple each for good measure.
Gold isn't honestly THAT hard to earn.
Also don't do forts unless you WANT a four-hour fight. They aren't ACTUALLY worth the loot within them, you gain more money faster doing voyages or robbing people. Just stick to those if you want money. Merchant voyages are more lucrative and fewer people want to sink you because what you have isn't valuable to them unless you both have the exact same mission, which is unlikely and even then they would likely rather not attack because that risks killing the chickens they would want. Which like why do that when catching a chicken is easy.

  • @arch-fable I don't understand this comment at all.

I do however understand where you may be coming from. I have friends who can only play a few hours a week and they are stuck buying 1 clothes per week if they are lucky. To them, spending 70k on sails and other cosmetics seem like an impossible reach but as they level up it will become easier.

I on the other hand can play 2 to 3 hours daily and have a million gold saved up. Yes I've been hoarding for about 20 levels but I did buy all vender items and upgrades, weapon skins, full outfit and 210k on skip skins.

    My current levels are 43,42,45

Just be patient and learn techniques to maximize your income for you play style and time available.

    Cheers

I'm not speaking about efficiency. I meant that the whole system is too generic, unimaginative and draining in mere tediousness than challenging. It's uninviting and unrelatable where as the player-to-player school of reward economy, for example, would perform much better at giving a proper entertainment value thorough immersion.

The bottlenecked number game means that an ordinary progression standard is taken and turned into a gameplay bloating system which is only implemented in any game simply to buy more time for devs by stretching the lifespan of the game artificially keeping players grinding without meaning.

In other words, the coded progression system in its current state is only there to make the statistics look good, in the expense of taste and effort, in favour of further possible investment models like microtransactions.

  • @dustofthedeath I’m nearly 30 across the board and have only $225k, I also haven’t bought a damn thing in game yet... save voyages.
