RARE said the game is HORIZONTAL progression with cosmetics being the reward. Cosmetics were not mentioned in the video. You guys can get all the content you want, but if you keep getting gold without anything to spend it or doing missions with no reward its pointless. Wether or not they add the cosmetics OP listed we just want to know whats going on with cosmetics

okay let me put it a different way. EVERYBODY knows cosmetics are coming. that would have been a pointless and obvious thing to bring up.

and they did mention unique rewards for limited events. I'll be my paycheck that means cosmetic.

It may have been pointless for YOU, but for me it is what i cared most about because i figured it would be the first thing added to the game. I don't care about the events if the items available aste the same as they are now. I would rather they not tie all the future cosmetics to "events" or anything. They just need to be added to the store so we have some variety in what we spend our gold on. Some event specific items are okay but there need to be some additions to the store as well otherwise gold is pointless. Content updates are great and all, but if they're like the kraken which is really not a waste of time for no reward, why do i care? Rare didn't mention any of this so we're still in the dark.

bro, i'm not saying your concern is invalid, I'm saying that new cosmetics by and large are NOT what the community as a whole have been demanding to know about as far as future content. your cosmetics are coming and everybody knows it. It's not newsworthy. if they had waited a whole week to put out a 12 minute video saying "uhm, yeah.... we're going to add like 100 new cosmetics... content amirite?" people would literally be suing Rare right now.

so yes, cosmetics are important to some, but that's not content worth talking about right now. it's just skins. no new mechanics, not enemies, no new ways to explore. THAT is what the community wanted to hear about, and I think they delivered on that, albiet maybe a little vaguely.
