I'm pro cross play but you can't address an issue for one platform when its an issue on both.
Oh snap, a pro?! How much do you get paid?

M+KB for xbox would be nice but I don't think it's the game holding it back. I think it's the console itself. Hasn't Phil Spencer said that M+KB support is being worked one for the console? Also, there are currently adapters you can purchase to use a M+KB on PS4/XBOne. No idea how well they work, I play on PC so it's a moot point to me, but I'm fairly certain the option is there, it just requires a super overpriced dongle to work. At any rate, I completely agree that official support for M+KB at the console level should be a higher priority to Microsoft than turning off cross platform. I've played the game with a controller on PC when I've felt like just sitting back on the couch instead of hunched over M+KB. I will say, in my opinion, the EoR hasn't been made OP for PC with the update. I agree that I do feel like it's speed increase isn't really any increase over controller, per se. It's an increase in speed compared to where it was on PC before, but it's not as if it's faster than controller. Where the advantage comes in is a mouse can make finer micro adjustments to things like waves moving the boat and whatnot. However, that said, someone who is killer with a controller can make those adjustments with an analog stick as well. It's just a matter of mastering the tools available to you. I'm terrible aiming down sights with a controller but I have friends who are deadly as hell with one. I'm not used to aiming with a controller, they prefer it. For me, the advantage isn't in the speed the EoR moves when aiming down the sight, the advantage is in the fact that I've been playing FPS games with a M+KB since 1992 when Wolfenstein came out.
