@lord-of-goats Sure, the reason I disagree is that the reason they added different types of skeletons is to make you use different strategy's to defeat them. The golden ones are weak in water and when in water can be attacked with swords, ghost skeles become attack-able when you shine a lantern on them. ETC...
And i think adding purchasable weapons that do more damage and/or negate the need to use these strategys kinda would ruin that.
Also I don't think skeleton battles should be any easier, if anything a bit harder.
All solid points! I agree that learning how to deal with different skeles is a fun part of the game. The penny-drop moment with lanterns/wraiths and gold/water was a genuinely lovely moment. Then when I realised the plants were healing in water!?!? Amazing!
But also, by gating these weapons with a cost of something insane like 200k+ (even 500k, or locking to pirate legend) means that unless you're Prodigy, you've probably solved all these problems before.
Some may argue it would make forts trivial, but honestly, you're probably using the generous amounts of gunpowder lying around the keeps and/or cannonballs for those tougher waves, so it's not like it's fundamentally game-changing.
But I totally respect this is pipe dreaming.
