@dislex-fx I also love Sea of Thieves! But why cant you love the game and still see its shortcomings?
We need to get over this pick a side mentality, the games amazing but it does need some work.

The MajorityI don't think you are a majority. I think this game is very divisive and evenly split between yay and nay. Just check out the reviews on your Xbox (and those are by people that actually bought the game) or on Metacritic user rating (probably some PS4 trolls).
Game is fantastic, I'm only playing this! But it has some serious shortcomings in terms of the level of grind and the amount of variety in almost all aspects. Rare need to improve it - if they don't then they wrecked their own game.
If this game sinks because Rare fouled it all up, I suspect this is going to go straight to the top of my list of "biggest wasted worlds and opportunities in a video game".
Most reviews seem to agree that the game is a great base for something truly amazing. And that they will be revisiting sea of thieves at a later date.
Me? I love it already. Mainly because of the cozy world they created. But I understand that it isn't enough for some people. Which is fine. There are plenty of other games to play while they wait for some updates.
I think rare has made something truly special here. A pirate world has room for so much weird and fun stuff. (sea monsters! Moar!)
And it'll all work out because the people who like sea of thieves will see each other in sea of thieves.

Totally agree. There's something magic about it. It's up there with The Witness for me in terms of atmosphere.
@knifelife exactly you can still love a game while still having issues with it, its people having a say or opinion that gets those issue spoken about and fixed :)

The MajorityI think i'm not alone when i say i'm here complaining about the game BECAUSE i love it. If i didn't, i'd quit, back to dota, just got legend rank there anyway.
I like how each side decides, that they are the majority. How about wait and see how the sales went, how many players stayed and how many gamepasses got cancelled in a month? Then we will see which side is actually the majority and which is the minority.
Both sides have the right to give feedback, but entitling themselves as majority is something I don't understand.

The MajorityRofl, considering the amounf of people playing though not having bought the game, or who will just play it a few months for roughly 2 to 3/7 at best of the selling price, the majority seems pretty irrelevant imo XD
Why not listening to the critics to make the game better instead, for devs to be actually paid ?

@dislex-fx holy #%$! people cry so much in this forum. rare made this game it's not yours. people saying how it should be changed...crying for pve servers and how bad the game is... go play something else. me and my buds have had the most EPIC advetures... from stealing the skeleton raid loot out from under some pirates to sailing threw storms with a ton of loot while fighting another galleon. this is how future games should be. #BeMorePirate

I have honestly not found as much fun and epicness in a game for a very long time.
Same here, I think the last time I had so much fun was when Minecraft first came out.
@miserabletax445 I think with the reception they have had at launch if there first big update in 3 months (Which is planned to have the microtransaction pets) contains paid content there is going to be alot more hate to the game, and to be perfectly honest they need to be doing damage control now rather then have more controversy.
Well considering how many players the game has I would say most people like it. You just see the worst of it on here cause people feel cheated for some reason, sometimes it's just a bunch of nonsense. Like complaining that outposts need to be safe zones, and complaining about how they regret buying it despite being able to easily see what the game was like before doing so. But there are some serious concerns like the ships respawning an island or two away after you sink them and they need to mix up the voyages a bit. But I love the game right now and look forward to what the future brings for it.
