Ghost ship??
@madbennycrazy I don't think it's the fault of a ghost ship, but of the chest of sorrow.

The ships disappear after sinking, is something normal. Probably, that ship could not sink any more and disappeared.At around 9:49 you can see the players name.
It looks like the person quit the game.
When you quit the game holes will appear in your ship which are the breaking noises you hear.
As to why you cannot climb the ship it's because the sinking animation was going on.He was carrying the chest of sorrow which explains the crying sounds.
And because the player quit the game. No mermaid will spawn.
Sooo in some way you can be right about it being a ghost ship since the player commanding it left game But really .. no it isn't sorry matey.
@o-the-spartan-o Except it appears right when i walk over the hill... and i was on that island for a while aswell digging around.
at 8:26 you can already see the ship coming from behind you m8.
My guess is that he quit/disconnected as you can see at 9:49 he's just standing there doing nothing not even holding the wheel.
And there for just rammed the island since no one was steering it anymore.
@madbennycrazy That's because there was a chest of sorrows on the island right near you. i do not know where since i cannot see you . But they randomly spawn on islands in open eye sight on cliffs edges in bushes. And you do not have to dig they can just spawn on the field.
@madbennycrazy And that spooky sound you referred to when you spotted the captain. That was the sound that a ship is about so sink. At the point you cannot repair the ship anymore and the sinking animation has started.
@o-the-spartan-o I still find it quite odd, that while im looking for a crying chest some guy sails straight into where i am standing with a crying chest in the front xD
@madbennycrazy I was kinda the same when i just started out haha. But trust me this wasn't a ghost ship. It was an disconnected/quitting player. That happened to crash on the same island as you. Haha
Those Chest can be very will hidden. But can also just be there without even looking for it. That's the tricky thing.
( Plus if they do come out i am sure they will be much cooler then a standard 1 player sloop :p haha so who knows! You might encounter 1 if they do come out. )
It is happened to me twice tonight me and two other friends were sailing and all of a sudden the ship just vanishes out from underneath of us and we're left in the middle of the ocean with all of our chickens and pigs floating. We had no chest of Sorrow our ship was anchored and all holes repaired with the Brig area all dry. Has anybody else been having a problem with this?
