Lustrous Legend Flag Claim Not Working

  • Is anyone else having issues trying to claim the Lustrous Legend Flag on Microsoft Rewards?

    • I've completed the punch card
    • I'm in an eligible country (Ireland), I checked all the terms to be sure
    • I've checked my Microsoft Account login is set to Ireland and Rewards even shows redeems for Ireland
    • My age is correct

    But, when I click "Claim Now" on the Lustrous Legend Flag, I get the following message:

    This item isn't available, either due to your region or login state, but you can still redeem your points for items listed on this Rewards redemption page.

    Any ideas?

  • @realstyli I'm guessing it's broken since they rolled out a new rewards UI like 2 days ago. I'm getting the same issue, except I can't click the 'Claim Now' button at all.

  • I am having the same issue, and I'm in the United States.

    I've tried all the normal workarounds--using different browsers, clearing the cache, trying on my phone vs. computer, etc.--all without any luck.

    Update

    It looks like this is partially resolved. The link on the punch card won't work, but if you put "lustrous" in the search box on the page that the link redirects you to, it should come up, and you can claim it that way.

  • Okay, so it sounds like it's broken right now.

    I imagine it's probably a Microsoft issue, but maybe Rare can give them a prod to sort it out.

  • same issue here and I'm located in canada... says not applicable to my region... love when ms updates rewards ui and dont test it prior to release causing all these issues... like rare doesnt have enough to fix now they gotta let ms know they have thousands of tickets coming in because of them... omg the world today...yikes..

    I've put in a support request with Microsoft, but I'm not optimistic. Based on my past experiences with Rewards issues, they're not very helpful. They don't even have a category for these kinds of promotions, so I had to put it under a problem with points redeeming.

    If I don't get a response by Friday and if claiming is still broken, I will just put one in with Rare Support (even though it's not really their problem). At least they're usually very good at responding and maybe they'll be able to contact Microsoft Support about it.

    UK based. Tried the usual clearing cache, re-logging in, new browser etc. No luck.

    Ill propably also message SoT support if Microsoft rewards support doesn't answer me today.
    Yesterday i got an answer telling me to try their troubleshooting steps, as if i hadn't done that already which i wrote in the ticket.
    Very frustrating.

    Yeah, usually with these things, the first step customer support will do is send out the "checklist". I don't necessarily blame them, they probably have a ton of tickets to get through in an unreasonable time and, for every one of us that does the troubleshooting first, there's probably a dozen of non-tech-savvy folk who don't. So they probably just skim the first ticket and only really dig into the details when you push back.

    It is frustrating though, especially when it's a seemingly widespread issue and you're just trying to help them by (pun intended) flagging it.

    I'm not too worried about yet another flag, we'll get it eventually, I'm sure. I just want things to work as intended, and issues like this don't help the overall feeling around the game right now.

  • I'm in Canada and completed the Punch Card about 30 mins ago. I can't redeem it. I just get...... On the go? You're previewing a catalog item that you're not eligible to redeem due to region or other restrictions.

  • Also having this issue, I've tried a lot of workarounds but none seem to be working.

    I typed in the reward link manually on my phone and the actual redeem reward appeared, but it said I had to sign in to redeem it. When I actually signed in it said that the item isn't avaliable due to sign in or login state either :(

    Hope it gets fixed soon

  • I raised it with Rewards support - still to hear back!

  • Its really annoying that we haven't at least got a response from Microsoft/Rare that they are aware of the problem and are looking into it.

    I said I was going to wait until tomorrow but I went ahead earlier and created a ticket with Rare Support. Just a "General Enquiry" to let them know that there is a problem, as it is entirely possible they weren't aware. They don't necessarily keep a close eye on the forums, and may be swamped under with bug reports after the new update. I sent them a link to this thread, also.

    I hope you made it very clear that you tried all the troubleshooting options.
    I did so twice and am now on the 3rd ticket explaining that this problem can't be fixed on my end.

  • Seems like the old redeem URL has been removed. Maybe they are fixing it.

  • @realstyli Where did you go to get the new redemption option? My punch card already shows all are checked and the old link I had for the flag is gone? I have no idea how to get to the new page to actually redeem it and get a code?

  • @ehhzeke It showed up in the redeem section for me.

  • @ehhzeke No, I mean it is listed on the redeem page where all the gift cards, etc... are. I'm not sure which section because I just clicked 'Redeem' in the nav bar at the top and then searched Lustrous. It came up as a 0pt item.

    I ended up going back to the punch card, which was linked on the carousel in the middle of the page (though the carousel is a bit buggy so I had to cycle it left and back again to display the correct promo). Then I clicked Claim Now on the punch card page.

    You should get a SOTCODE emailed to you, which you then redeem here:

    (just make sure you're signed in with your correct account)

    I mean that it helped that someone at Rare started investigating vs. me being on the 3rd ticket explaining that I already tried all the troubleshooting steps.

    I think it made things move along quicker.
