I would like to see more available in Safer Seas. I know we can earn the same gold now but it still feels super lame to play when I cannot use my own ships or progress in my guild at all. There needs to be more options for single players. I don’t want to use my boats and guild in PvP ever so why cannot I choose to keep use them and stay in Safer Seas. I could if there was another or different Safer Seas option.
Different Safer Seas Option
Rare have been very direct that Safer Seas is basically a form of extended tutorial to let new players get used to the game before progressing to High Seas.
The fundemental framework of gameplay in Sea of Thieves is based around player interaction and PvPvE.
If you want to use Safer Seas as a zero risk version of the game, then you need to be prepared to stomach the gold and reputation earning limitations, and the gameplay and content restrictions.
Player interaction, whether that be positive or negative, is a cornerstone and hallmark of the intended gameplay experience in in Sea of Thieves. If you don't want to interact with other players, then an open world sandbox game is not the place for you.

Sorry Mama, if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.
No risk, no benefit. Otherwise, enjoy SS without captaincy, because that's one of the HS perks.
Too bad that "Fighter" part of your alias ain't nowhere to be found. 😅
I also always thought being able to just play against with those you want to play against would be really cool too!
I agree with you about the captained ships. I'd like to see them added to Safer Seas. I don't think ships should level at all in Safer Seas, though. It's just nice to have your own ship when you're working on a Tall Tale.
For the most part, I don't PvP. However, it is fun to mess with others when they start it, whether it is taking them on a long tour of the Sea of Thieves as you jump off at different ports to sell a piece of loot here and there (then mermaid back), so they get nothing if they sink you, or dropping off the back of your ship with a keg to sink them while your ship keeps going. Some of the most memorable times I've had in the game came from getting attacked. Recently, when I was turning in some smuggler's loot, I got shot at. Well, that's why I one of those black powder kegs in the crow's nest. I ran back to the ship. Their ship was near enough to mine, so I climbed up, grabbed it, and jumped into the water, swimming under their ship and lighting the keg. I died, but who cares, their ship sunk. Give it a try. You might have fun setting a ship on fire if they try to come after you.
Sea of thieves.
A pvpve experience game where you and other players interacting and create stories together while exploring the seas. Friend or foeNow the 1% wants to turn that into a single player game because they don’t like the online aspect of it. I’ll never understand these new gamers.
Like how Elden Ring laugh at the silly players who wanted the difficulty to be reduced. (It’s meant to be that way) Bless those poor souls who can’t deal with a little challenging game. And being a paid game, I feel it’s fair to not be robbed of progression, customization, and content.
If they didn't introduce SS at all, y'all wouldn't have even that extended tutorial.
You'd actually have to play HS (as intended) or find another game, so this "argument" automatically falls apart.
Nobody forced you to buy a product that's not for you lol.
Safer seas seems to be just a casual mode, and shouldn’t be restricted like it is. People play it cause they want to relax. PvP players and players seeking High Seas exclusive content will still play High Seas.
Well, you and others can always play Sims or Tetris if you wanna relax. 😂 Once you get enough relaxation, feel free to come back
@r3vanns ok say what you want, but at least I’m not going around harassing players and using exploits to soft lock them
By "harassing" I'm assuming you meant playing the game as intended right? I assume the other term you'd use instead of it would be "toxic" 😆
Regarding exploits - I was always against them 10 toes down. Record and report.
But don't come here generalizing every person (not even majority) that sinks you cuz they're better at the game are "toxic" or "harassing", cuz that's just cope. Learn to take the L mate, or get better at the game.
There is a very valid reason to not play SS
Good. That's the whole point. You're not supposed to anyways, after the moment you've trained enough.
Rare obviously did a good job with that. And that's the reason more why they should not give SS-ers Captaincy.
They already provided enough babysitting for fragile egos.
