I personally think that having a bunch of smuggler's league NPCs spread out across the map at randomly chosen islands is honestly really annoying and I just don't like it.
What I think would be much MUCH better is instead having one central location for the smuggler's league, a smuggler's league hideout similar to Tortuga from pirates of the caribbean!
But where would this location be? Well it already exists and all it needs is a little sprucing up to match the smuggler's league theme!
Yes I'm talking about the Sea Dog's Tavern, it has been a super cool (but completely useless) POI on the map for YEARS now ever since the removal of Arena, and in my opinion it's about time the old Sea Dog's Tavern gets some love and gets a new purpose.
With a little bit of work the old Sea Dog's Tavern could very easily become the New Smuggler's League Hideout!
Obviously there would be a new NPC located at this hideout and they would be the main person in charge of the entire smuggler's league, they would also be the person who we would bring our smuggler's league loot too to sell.
Also some harpoons could be added to make transporting our loot from our ship up to the NPC to sell it much faster (and would also make for some fun and exciting loot theft opportunities 😉).
Plus Rare could FINALLY add the POI to the map so it's actually visible on the map and not just a random location in the middle of the ocean that serves no purpose outside of looking cool and being fun to mess around at.
The Sea Dog's Tavern is by far one of the single best locations that exists in the entire Sea Of Thieves and personally I really want it to finally get some love and become the new main location for the Smuggler's League and become their new Hideout (similar to the reapers hideout, but for the smuggler's league instead).
So Rare if you're reading this, PLEASE repurpose the old (currently useless) Sea Dog's Tavern and turn it into the New Smuggler's League Hideout!
Edit: If you want to keep all of the existing smuggler's league NPCs you can that would be fine with me, I just want there to be a main hideout for the smuggler's league where whoever is in charge of the smuggler's league would be located and I think that location should be the old Sea Dog's Tavern since it's currently completely useless and serves no purpose outside of being a cool place to hangout (which it will still be even when it's been repurposed into the new Smuggler's League Hideout!)
