I have a feeling when am fighting another player they can realod their cannos faster then i can i can only put like maybe 6 holes in them or sometimes 2 before the smg cannon gets used

@pred-kill-6489 That's because they spam the shoot button in order to shoot the cannon instantly then reload it straight after. If you don't already, have the Reduce hold to interact setting ON ( Settings -> Gameplay -> Reduce hold to interact ) this lets you press the reload button once without having to hold the button to reload so you can focus more on the shooting. Also, always try to aim cannonballs at the cannoneer of the ship so they get kicked off it and put less holes in you.
