Daddy issues ( just read its no troll )

  • being a Father I lack time to play...

would you consider the players that don't want to necessairily grind pvp?

its fun once in a while but ... I'd play a lot more if I could build some rep in safer seas as well... would be a lot more fun to live the tales

I barely have an hour when kids are asleep once a month to play... it would be fun not to get killed 70 times during an event weekend.

  • If you can only play for an hour a month I would just enjoy the game and not worry about specific events on. You are always going to miss out if playing that casually.

  • This is a game that casual players can enjoy in some ways but it pretty much requires disconnecting from progress and "getting stuff done".

Way too many commendations, way too much extreme fomo, way too much stuff that isn't compatible with organic play, let alone very casual play time.

Either embrace some solo chill out time or get a crew together just to vibe.

You don't have to find a different game to have fun but you will have to change how you view this experience if you want to have fun in your situation, no way around that.

    Suggestion.

Form a dad group for a few sessions a month. Just vibe and try to find some fun. Lean into the time with other people part, and away from the list of game chores part.

You just have to play to your abilities. When I was new I quickly realized that I could not attempt top tier rewards (fof, fotd, anything high visibility) unless I was with some experienced friends. So my response was to play as safe as possible, always watching the horizon and staying clear of danger to the extent I could.

There is so much to do in this game that isn’t high visibility, you can play pretty incognito if you choose to. If you decide to attempt the big desirable cloud in the sky, your chances of being contested are high. It’s as simple as that. A lot of players in this game want to get the highest rewards from the most contested events without having to fight for them, which is what this game is about.

Nobody is entitled to all the rewards/commendations just because they’re available.

  • Your game progress depends on your gameplay style and the time you invest on it. This goes for every live game out there without exception.

  • I lack time to play

    Everyone has lack of time

    • work 12 hours
    • family
    • having to share pc/console

It a video game. As an adult, it common thing we learned growing up afterwards. You manage your play and fun with work and life.

You think players playing WoW didn’t also have issues? Or RuneScape?

  • Maybe a singleplayer game would be better OP, that way you can start/stop anytime you want and not miss anything.

    I agree with @Metal-Ravage comment.

  • The responsibilities and realities of being a father.
