WHERES THE KRAKEN?! NO PLANNED UPDATES?

    The recent anniversary community post with the Kraken was honestly SICK! I thought we were getting a surprise Kraken update.
    Then we were told it was a "creative decision", AND "there were no plans to change the Kraken!" which is furiously DISSAPOINTING.
    I don't know how many promos I see of this game with a Kraken PROMINENTE in it attacking and looking bad booty!!

    I bought this game to fight Krakens and there is NO WAY TO HUNT OR SPAWN THESE!
    I have been trying to get the "Legendary Kraken Hunter" commendation for almost TWO YEARS and have no reliable way to find this BEAST!

    Its very sad, that we ask, and then we are teased, DURING A HUNTERS CALL UPDATE, and then let down.

    I don't care how the fight could be changed, just LET US HUNT FOR IT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Finish this update with FIXING all of Hunters Call!

    I completely agree, we really need a way to spawn krakens and possibly a revamped fight somehow

    Makes me laugh people convinced themselves the kraken was getting an update cause of a birthday promo picture.

    Seems helpful advice to me to someone who hasn't encountered 10 Krakens in two years - I've had 95 of them since Captaincy (2.5 years IIRC) without trying to encounter her.

    Tbf, we don't know if OP is referring to HS or SS.

    If they're playing on SS, they might be onto something. I'm playing daily, 70% of the time in SS, and for at least 2-3h. Open seas sailing when no events are active, and I didn't encounter a single Kraken in the last 2-3 months.

    IMO, they need to either make a bigger gap in SS events (at least 10min between them) to give more time for Krakens to spawn, or raise spawn chance on Krakens (if that's possible). They seem to be super rare in SS, and I actively try to spawn them cuz I'm actually missing them in SS.

    Regarding HS, yea, I def don't have problems running into them.

    Had quite a few Krakens lately which is great to see. For a long time before season 15 I rarely saw them.

    I like that the Kraken is rare. Getting Kraken spammed like before was hell.

    Although i'm not sure it's spawning at all any more?

    There is a difference between hunting and farming.

    Hunting is what exists, farming is what is on the horizon with megs.

    A hunt has no guarantee, just opportunity. It's you in an environment where you use your skills and your knowledge to try to eventually harvest a beast/creature/monster. Might be 2 in a day, might be 2 in a month. Might be none in a month. That's a hunt.

    Farming is like the meg voyages they have talked about. Jump through hoops, see meg, kill meg, done.

    Maybe they do that to krakens too someday but make no mistake, if you showed up to hunt, you are in a hunting environment (for a while longer).

    Enjoy it while it's still here.

    They said they would love to add the head in there and I think the kraken is well overdue for it to be honest. I definitely think this will be done down the line along with the teased sea serpent. Maybe they could add a 3rd land monster along with this update and we could have just a giant sea/land creature update. Maybe a giant crab to fight on land that's emergent and comes up from the ground. It would be a long overdue update because I think we can all agree that we definitely need more difficult pve encounters.
