Doing merchant voyages with live animals on board could easily increase meg spawn chance
and add some risk and reward gameplay to these voyages. =)
... not sure how new players would feel about this ...

They had it right from the beginning imo, then it just got worse and worse after that.
I agree! This should have stayed as it was.
But I think too many people complained about constant meg spawns and Rare reduced it.
They talked about this in some update news video briefly a while back.
Pve diving does carry over the meg timer, it adds more time but it does carry over.
Just from my own testing I feel like the server change (while diving) does reset it
and you are then back to a fresh timer and first available spawn seems to be after 30 mins.
But it is hard to judge these hidden timers, while enjoying the adventure and doing other stuff. ^^

Yes, I had that happen once, too. ^^
Diving to the new skeleton camps (not raids but normal voyages that can occur at those) the skeletons don't spawn when you do the camp.
True. Dying once (resetting the island) fixes this.
